Lucian's POV
I coughed and choked as soon as I opened my eyes. The floor was so hard and rough that it burned my cheek and scraped my skin as I moved a little. My shirt was soaked with sweat, which had turned cold and sticky against my skin. It was as if I was walking through thick mud; every step was slow, heavy, and painful.
I felt pain all over my body. I felt as if someone had hit my back with great force onto the stone floor. All my muscles ached, and my joints were complaining. I felt so tired that it was as if something was holding me to the ground, unable to let me move.
Why do I not remember how I arrived here?
