I was so exhausted that I felt my bones were turning to stone, pulling me down onto the ground. I felt tired, but I couldn't stop thinking. Instead, I was at the foot of the sacred mountain, looking up at the pale, cold moon. The air was crisp and calm, as if everything was waiting for something to happen.
The Moon Goddess was there, waiting for me. She didn't budge, but her eyes were full of everything, silent and knowing far too much. Her smile was peaceful, but it didn't seem friendly. The smile on his face told me that what was about to happen wouldn't be pleasant.
