Week 1 How to create an initial outline College Graduation
Scene 1  Vincent met  Layla their college freshman year.  They had an English class together. On the first day of class, they became friends and from that day they were inseparable.  Vincent continued to reminisce about the late night study sessions, the many papers they had to write, and parties they attended. As they procession into the auditorium, Layla was seven people behind Vincent, but he could feel her presence as if she was standing next to him.  They were excited to be graduating and to begin living. Finally, it was time to cross the stage and receive their degrees.  Vincent invited everyone he knew to the graduation party he was hosting at the hotel.  He walked around making sure to greet everyone and thank them for coming. The disc jockey was playing a mixture of songs from all genres to keep everyone dancing and having a good time. He stopped in his tracks, when he saw Layla walk into the ballroom. She spotted Vincent right away and walked toward him. He grabbed her hand and led her to the dance floor. The lessons they took together paid off as all eyes were on them as they took ownership of the dance floor. Scene 2 After Party Layla quickly got into her car and drove back to the dorm.  She could still feel Vincent's lips on hers.  Layla walked aimlessly to her dorm room cause she couldn't get Vincent off her mind. She decided to drive back to the hotel.  The party had ended.  She checked with the front desk to see if Vincent was still there.  She informed Layla that he had booked a room. Layla took the elevator to the third floor, walked down the hallway, and knocked on the door.  Vincent answer the door wearing only a towel. Scene 3 Runaway Layla heard the voice of a female in the room.  She quickly apologized and turned to leave before Vincent could stop her.  Layla half ran to the elevator punching the down button.  The elevator didn't come fast enough, so she found the stairs and ran down them. She was out of breath by the time she ran out of the hotel.  She got back into her car and sped all the way to the dorm trying to not let the tears fall.  When she got back to her room, she gathered up her remaining things.  She wasn't going to wait until the next day to leave.  Her roommate had left right after the graduation ceremony. It only took two trips, since her father insisted that he load his truck with her things making it easier for her check out. Scene 4 Charity Ball The community center was hosting its annual charity ball to raise money.  Layla's friend Maia was a volunteer there and asked her to come to the ball with her.  Anyone that was anyone attended.  Layla looked at it as a way to network with some of the influential people of the city.  The guest speaker took the podium. Everyone turned to give him their undivided attention. It had been five years since Layla had seen Vincent, but she would know him from anywhere. After thanking everyone for coming, Vincent made his way down from the podium and continued to greet everyone in the room.  Layla had just finished her conversation with the mayor as Vincent walked up and stood in front of her.
