Agnett's eyes were wide open, standing there in shock for a moment.
She was dumbfounded over what Raven did. She kissed me?! Omg she kissed me...
Agnett suddenly panicked and didn't know what to do.
Raven's heart was not stable at all and she just molded herself more into the kiss, pursuing Agnett to at least give a response.
She looked down to Raven and found her eyes closed in bliss.
Raven understood what she had done because she wasn't reacting to anything. She regretted her immature decision and started to back away.
When Agnett felt her leaving her lips, she panicked again thinking she'll lost her forever if she loose her right now.
She wasn't sure what she wanted. There were loads of questions and doubts running in her mind. She had two choices, either kiss her or don't, so she choose the string that pulled her heart more.
As soon as her lips left her's, Agnett pulled her back by her jacket and directly entered in her mouth. Raven was at the peak of mental breakdown. She held her more tightly than ever and felt the soft texture of her tongue on hers.
Oh her lips..! And is this woman even for real?!
Raven thought with foggy brain.
Agnett's lips were so soft and magical on Raven's rough ones that she got lost in them. She tasted like sugar melon with a hint of vanilla scent. On the other hand, Agnett was loosing her mind over the alcoholic cologne of Raven.
Too good for my sensory nerves...
She thought to herself.
They both didn't fought for each other but just devoured sweetly. Raven was rather commanding, exploring and touching the every single corner of her mouth but eventually eased up under Agnett's caress. Everything around them fade away when their mouth moved in synchronisation.
When they parted panting hard, Raven rolled her tongue on Agnett's bottom lip and pushed her head into hers more. Agnett was red as beetroot and Raven hugged her, burying her face in her neck. Agnett couldn't stand still because of the injury and the wobbling in her legs was no less.
Inhaling her sweet scent, her grip tightened, holding her steady but Agnett was still in haze.
"I wasn't expecting this...." She said making Agnett have butterflies in her stomach. Raven blankly kissed her neck, hot breathe faning over it.
Agnett closed her eyes in thrill, still clinging by her jacket and caged between her arms.
She kissed her neck again and this time she gasped, having goosebumps all over her body. Raven felt them stand up and a smirk played on her lips.
She backed away from her slowly, watching in her eyes. She thumped up the stick with her leg like a stuntman that it flee up in her hand and handed it to her. Agnett's cheeks flushed and this made Raven even more crazy. Still she controlled and took steps back. "Now, I would say the dinner hasn't gone to waste. Will we meet again?" Raven said raising an eyebrow on which Agnett rolled her eyes smiling.
"I'll take it as yes." Raven said racking her hands in hairs, face flushed with embarrassment. "Bye." With that she left, Agnett watching her back with sparkles in her eyes.
On that night, the kiss danced in Raven's mind and Agnett couldn't sleep at all.

"So how does it feel without the caste anymore?" Kayden said standing by Agnett's side, she smiled.
"It actually feels good. Like a big burden has been taken off." She retorted moving her arm in every angle, checking if there's any pain but it was fine now. They were in the hospital after 2-3 weeks from the dinner night, where Agnett's arm was fine enough to be off from the case.
"It indeed looks fine but you still need to be careful. The bone takes time to harden up from the broken part so I prefer to not pressure that place too much or carry heavy objects." The nurse said checking the current x-ray.
"It's good that the fracture was mild but not severe. Dr. Raymond said to take the prescribed medicines for 15 days more and then you'll be off from medication too." The nurse said smiling and Agnett became relieved.
"Okay. Thank you Miss. We'll be off now." Kayden said supporting Agnett by arm. Her leg was fine now but wasn't healed fully so she still needed help sometimes, otherwise she was off from her stick.
"So where you wanna celebrate?" Kayden asked igniting the car engine as Agnett eyes sparkled in excitement.
"You drive and I'll guide you." Agnett said giggling like a kid.
"Just tell me clearly where." Kayden asked shrugging his shoulders in confusion.
"Just Drive!!!" Agnett said laughing for no reason.
"Crazy woman." And they were off.
After a 15 minutes of drive, Kayden pulled over near a small two story building with a huge name pannel, "ANIMAL SHELTER, BROOKLYN"
"I knew it that you'll come right here." Kayden exclaimed ruffling her hairs and she growled. A big smile was filled in her rosy cheeks as she took the doctor aid box from the car and wore her white coat.
"You see, our medical teacher gave us the assignment of giving rabies vaccines to the shelter dogs. You'll need to make videos of around 4 to 5 dogs when I'll give them the shots. Then I need to send these to her over which our markings will be done." Agnett explained checking the injections and fluids that need to be given.
"Oh so is this the only reason of your visit to the shelter?" Kayden asked surprised and helped her to get the things.
"Of course not! I needed to meet my best friends! I miss them so much!" She defended herself with wide eyes and made pouting faces. Kayden laughed at her overacting.
"Yes yes, now let's go Dr. Agnett." He said taking her arm and heading inside.
"Hey James! Wassup?" Kayden greeted the counter receptionist with a high five. "Hey man! Long time no see. Hello to you too Agnett." James replied with a big smile.
"Hello James. How you doing?" She asked giving him a high five too. "Great. How're your injuries?" He asked signaling her stick.
"Well, off the caste today. Just some more days." She retorted signing the entry register.
"Good to hear that. People here gonna be very happy to see you. Trust me, Tomy and his gang have been so disobedient and loud since the day you haven't visited them." James said chuckling as he led them to the office and Agnett did an aww.
"Here. I'll be off now." James left with a smile after leaving them to the office.
"Hello Mrs. Theos. How are you?" Agnett greeted the middle aged woman with specs, who was examining some papers, with a warm hug and she hugged her back. "Ohh hello sweety! I am doing great. I felt so bad when i heard about you. I hope you're recovering better now." She replied with a sad smile and held her hands.
Mrs. Theos was the manager of the shelter. She had been running this shelter since she was in her late 30s, and it was almost 20 years till now. Agnett used to visit the shelter since she was 10 years old. She used to watch and learn animal care with the past veterinarians and the assistant doctors.
She was very attached to animals from the very start and she was naturally good with them. Mrs. Theos always knew that she had the potential of handling the wildlife, so she always let Agnett to explore the shelter.
She used to visit there every Sunday on her small bicycle and always bought treats for the stray animals with the little pocket money she used to have. As the time passed she chose her career and now she work as a veterinary at the same shelter for almost a year.
"It's ok Mrs. Theos, I am fine now." She replied. "Hello?! I am no ghost here?!" Kayden said sarcastically, making ghostly gestured by his arms. "Of course you are not! Come here." Mrs. Theos hugged him too and he cradled her in his huge arms.
"Now better." He smiled in satisfaction and Agnett rolled her eyes.
"So how you here? You were on leave, right? Are you joining from today?" She asked as they settled themselves on the chairs.
"Yeah that too but I am here for some college work. Actually our medical college has given the responsibility of giving necessary shots to the animals of the shelter. Also it's free of cost because the vaccines are provided by the government to us so that we'll get practiced of treating them for real as well as get experience in our work. This will also result in the completion of government's task of giving vaccinations as well as we'll be done with our assignments." Agnett explained the whole thing sincerely and Mrs. Theos heard her carefully.
"Oh this is really good. I was thinking of getting the necessary vaccines for all the animals and look you're here." She said clapping her hands in excitement.
"We can proceed with the work but you just need to sign this form filling up the information about the shelter and some details. A little feedback as well as filling the approval letter." Agnett explained taking out the bunch of forms from her bag and put them on the desk.
"This will work as a proof if anything happens in future as well as none of us will get any queries later." She said and she nodded.
"Even without signing, I trust you enough to give you the full responsibility of this shelter, dear. You have been working here for half and a year now." Mrs. Theos said with a warm smile and Agnett's heart filled with pride.
Kayden was watching her so intensely, observing her every move. He was feeling proud on his potato chip and wondered how big she has gotten. Fatherly much, right.
"Here. I'll take you to the examination room then you can proceed from there." She said handing the papers to her and they headed to the door.
"I'll leave you two here. I'll send Dan and other handler if you need help. Okay." Mrs. Theo said smiling and she nodded.
"You have been working here as a part time veterinary for them. How you managed your studies and this all together, I still don't understand." Kayden asked genuinely concerned for her, she smiled and put her things on the table.
"When you love someone or something so much that you just can't be without it for a minute, that's how I feel with this job. Everytime i treat an innocent soul," She marked the dogs that needed the vaccination according to their age in the pad list.
"..It adds up to my happiness and determination. When I see their recovery after my hard work, I instinctively feel like doing more and this is how I managed." She completed her words with a beautiful smile on her face, watching the animals dreamily.
Kayden wasn't amazed, but he felt rather calm hearing her words. He knew that she had this quality in herself of coping with the animals from the very start. She always treated injured animals with the little information she had since she was a kid.
When she was visible to all the dogs in the room, they all happily barked from their cages. Some whined in utter happiness and some wiggled their tails.
"Aww my babies! I missed you too!" She went to every cage and rubbed their necks in comfort. They responded happily on her touch. She came back to her desk where animals had been put to examination. The two handlers came and took out the dogs one by one from the cages according to the list.
"So first turn is yours buddy. Just stay still okay." A little stray puppy who was little grown up now since the last time she saw him, wiggled his tail, sitting on the table.
After putting on gloves, she gently rubbed near his leg and butts and gently gave him the shot. He whined a little but bravely took the vaccine.
"Good boy....Time for the bravery treat." She cooed and gave him the biscuits, lightly rubbing his body.
They took him back and fetched the next one by one. Kayden made video for her as she continued to do her work like a professional. Almost every dog took the shot without any difficulty and the work was almost done.
It was around 20 dogs who needed the rabies shot and 8 cats who needed feline calicivirus vaccination.
"Kayd, you can go college, I'll be fine here. Also I might take some more time so you go." Agnett said writing something on her pad.
"You sure?" He asked asked as they played with a stray puppy. He was brown and malnutrition so he appeared thinner than average puppy. His body lost fur from some places where he had skin allergy.
"Yeah. You have an important presentation today." She replied applying ointments on his wounds and give him the medication.
"Okay so, call me when you're done." He said standing up and kissed her forehead. "Bye!"
"Bye butthead." She said getting back to her work.
She sat him on the table and cleaned his wounds. The rash was almost gone but it had to be cured completely so the new pink skin won't get infected. She applied the ointments and then put the protective collar around his neck so he won't touch or scratch his wounds from his mouth.
She gave him a treat and he licked her hand thankfully. Even though she hated watching them suffer in the limited space in the cages, she had no choice at that moment. All she could do was to give them best treatment as she can.
She took the coat off, left the gloves in the dustbin and cleaned herself. Kayden was strolling around the area somewhere as Agnett went to take a look in the adoption room. She was about to go to meet Tomy, but she saw someone was already there, playing with him.
"Hey bud! It's good to see you again! I am sorry I couldn't visit you for the past weeks." The woman said kneeling on the ground, comforting the husky dog.
The woman had sap green cargo pants, loose white tees, and undercut hairs. Agnett recognised her and started to get nervous.
She was dressed rather plain this time, like blue jeans and a loose red shirt. Her hairs were in simple French braid and of course! Her supporting role, stick!
"Raven..."
