C H A P T E R 19

DEIV’s POV

“Everyone vacate the room immediately!” I shouted then everyone rushed out of the room.

“What’s happening,Sir?” Ash asked as she let’s her eyes room around the room.

“Someone invade the gym.” I shouldn’t tell them that it is a Black Blood.

“Kim, protect Mel.Please!” I asked the search for Mel.

“Where is Melody?” I’m panicking. I counted my students and Mel and Zel are nowhere to found.

“Sir,let me trace her.” Nine suggested and used his ability to search for the two.

After minutes of searching, we saw Melody lying in the floor.

We rushed into her went to infirmary. They are really persistent!

I told them to search for Zel since we can’t still find her.

I asked Aida and Tiana to come to the infirmary and talk.

NINE’s POV

“SO someone tell me, what is happening? We did we suddenly pulled out of the room?” I asked my classmates by force. I’m worried about Zel being missing. What if something will happen to her?

“Bella, Ash, use your ability to help search for Zel, I know you guys are the ones with great abilities than us. Please help us.” Kim said then bow in front of the girls. It is my first time seeing Kim so devoted to Mel.

“We will help,Kim.” Ash said then pinch Bella’s arms.

“What if I won’t?” Bella said then put her arms around her breast.

“Please Bell, we need to help each other out. We need to unite. Never mind your quarrel and hates for now. We must endure and hold on tight with this. We are Aces after all.” Kim said emotionally.

“Kim, do you have a clue on what is happening,huh? Why are you so emotional towards Mel? Why are you so into helping when it is not your thing in the past?”  I noticed that when Mel arrived, Kim became alive and responsible. I mean, he changed.

“The other day, the Empress talked to me about protecting Mel. She told me that Mel is in a big trouble and we as her classmates must secure and protect her.” We eyed him as a signal to spill more.

“That’s all,everyone. I don’t know the reason why we must protect her. But,it is from the Empress and we must follow it.” He said then marched back and forth while thinking.

“What did Mel do,anyway?” Ash said. I think that way,too.

“Ever since we met Mel, we face a lot of troubles and now this ‘thing to protect’ her?” Bella said. She sounds selfish but its true though.

“Please, don’t think that way. I may not know what is the real reason, but let’s just follow the Empress.No one knows what’s this for.” Kim said. Being positive in everything is not his thing also.

“So know, all we have to do first is to find Zel before dawn.”

“Okay fine. I’ll ask the wind to find her though.” she lazily chant her words to the wind and the soft wind went away. Ash on the other hand asked the small ball of fire to search for Zel. We should find her.

“Besides of our abilities searching for her, we must search for her individually. We must make an effort.” Kim said then marched away.

“Where is Min?” Ash asked.

“Min went with Mr.Deiv.” I said calmly.

I went away and my eyes are stuck on the woods. I don’t know why that woods called me but I never mind it. That area is prohibited. I must make an effort on finding her and tell her that I am really sorry for everything and must reconcile to her in a good and respectable way.

BELLA’s POV

Why am I even trying to find her? I mean, I hate her. She took everything from me then now, I’m looking for her? Sometimes, I am really pathetic.

I am now near the woods. This is a prohibited area but the wind calls me there.

And my curious ass is also curious on what’s in there. Why is it prohibited though?

I took a stick and used it to move away the branches that covers the pathways.

It took me a minute to open it and guess what I have found, a brownish black Maine Coon cat.

It is looking at me like it wants me to pet him.

“Are you trapped here?” I asked then the cat purr.

She walks away and looked back a me. I took that as a signal that I must follow him.

I let my eyes roam around. And saw a big pond and there in the middle, I saw Zel lying unconsciously.

I tried calling her but its no use. I asked the wind to wake her up but the wind is too limited in this place. Therefore, I must swim around the pool but before diving, I took precautions.

Maybe, it is a trap. A trick to help my friend? Maybe, since I’m making an effort to rescue her. I don’t know.

I look for a long stick and a rope, just in case this place has a rope but thankfully, it has.

I dip my pointer finger in the water and thankfully, I didn’t swim. It is really cold and if I did, I must have died.

Zel’s distance from me is not that far so, I woke her up by poking her arms using the long stick.

“Is she a sleepy head, my arms are hurting.” I saw the cat leaped from my side to Zel’s side.

I was shocked! How can that cat jump from here to there? I cursed.

“Zellaine! Wake up!” I shouted and that makes the whole place echo.

The cat purr and the sleepy head finally wake up.

“Who are you?” She asked me as soon as she sees me.

“Don’t me,Zellaine! Now, swim no- Use the stick to go at my side.”

“Are you Bella?” she asked me with a weird expression.

“yes, I am. Your classmate, now go here. Its almost dawn!”

She looked at me from head to toe and I looked at her weirdly. Like, girl, come on. Wake up.

“You ruined my life, don’t you know that?”  She then started crying.

“Look, I don’t know how to make you stop crying but I’m really really sorry for what I have done. Please. Come here now.” I said scarping my hands.the gesture of sorry.

“No, you only care on how to finish this task.  But in reality, you still see me as an enemy, as a traitor. I never stole anything from you, you know that!” She said then burst out crying again.

“This is not a task,Zel. This is reality. You’re missing for hours now. I’m the only person who found you. And I am sincere with my apologies. Please, come on now. I’m really sorry!” I said then kneel. If kneeling is the key to make her believe me, even once, then I’m giving up my pride.

She rowed the boat to my side and I helped her get out.

“Please believe me this time,Zel. I am really sorry.” Then I hugged her.

She hugged back and I think were okay now.

“You wanna come with me,Safire?” she asked the cat and the cat purr.

I felt relieved and happy knowing that I’m now okay with Zel. Going out from this place is not easy. But I remembered Zel’s ability, so she took the lead on how must we get out of here.

We went to the classroom and saw them looking at us shocked.

I saw Mr.Deiv smiling and the others looks like pissed off and exhausted.

“How’s your sleep,Zel?” Mr. Deiv asked her.

“I am good,Sir. How did you know that I’m asleep the whole time?” confused and tired, she asked Mr. Deiv that way.

“I put you to sleep and let Safire guard you while I was gone. You are the task that everybody in the group knows nothing but me and the Empress.” I am again for the nth time shocked about that fact.

“But looks like you and Bella ended your feud?” Mr. Deiv said then smiled.

“Seems like that Sir.” I said then giggled.

“But my plants withered when I saw the shadow,Sir! The shadow’s name is Milla!” I said. It feels surreal.

“That shadow was disguised by the Empress. She attest you if you’ll give off your classmates information even to the stranger and seems like you gave it. That’s why she chose you to be the target of this activity. Don’t get angry to Bella, Bella knows nothing.” She looked at me and smiled. I understand if she can’t trust me, its my fault anyway.

“Milla? She’s a bit familiar,Sir.” Mel said. Mr. Deiv trembled a bit and asked us to go into our rooms.

He used his second ability, which is giving protection to everyone around him. And in today’s case, this talk is really private.

“Kim, do you remember when the Empress asked you to protect Mel?” Oh so, its true. I thought Kim was just playing with us.

“Yes,Sir.”

“The reason why the Empress named herself  Milla is because she is the deadliest and scariest person at the moment. When you heard someone named Milla, report to me right away. She wants to take someone’s life and that someone is Mel.” I looked at Mel and she is surprise.

“We still don’t know why she’s after Melody but please, help us protect Mel.” What’s with her? I relly don’t understand why we should protect her. I mean, why her? Why are they after her?

“I can see you are confused and has a lot of questions but you’ll find everything out when you complete the puzzle.” So, Mel is a special person? Should I investigate?

“That is all for today,class. We should train again tomorrow. Good night! Also, Zel, please come with me for a sec.”

I should investigate. I smell something fishy.
