"I don't want to see your face, so get out," Zain ordered his wife.
This woman was the cause of the breakdown of his relationship with Bridget. If she had not gotten pregnant back then and then conspired with his mother to force him, then none of those things would have happened.
He hated it so much that he was like a puppet who had to listen to those women for the past five years.
Leila wasn't someone that would back down either, and so she scoffed, completely ignoring Zain's order to get out.
"I don't care what you do with your free time, but please don't leave this place a mess. I have a job the way you have a job, and I can't come back to clean up after you," Leila complained as she made her way into the messy room.
She picked up a dress that was on the floor, and her eyes landed on Zain's open laptop.
She frowned as she read the name on the article and then looked at the picture of the smiling woman.
Bridget Watson? Wasn't this his ex-wife?
Leila lost all of her common sense as soon as she saw this.
"What is the meaning of this? You miss her, and you want to go back to her? Ha, why don't you go look for her then and tell her that you're sorry for what you did? Although, I am very sure that she won't look your way again," Leila mocked Zain coldly.
Zain stared at the woman without much emotion on his face. He wasn't bothered about her seeing this, and so he just ignored her attempt to mock him.
"She is now an actress? Oh please, we all like what all of those actresses are like. They pretend to be good people, but all they do behind closed doors is sleep with a bunch of men. It's been just five years, and yet she's already someone so popular. It must be because she has a sugar daddy. She left you to go chase after rich men!" Leila could not hold back her anger when she saw how good Bridget looked.
Back then, she was proud because she stole Zain away from Bridget. He was rich, and they were going to have a baby; her life was on track, or so she thought.
The things that happened after the marriage left her feeling hollow. Now, besides hate, there was nothing else left in her heart.
Zain's fists were clenched together as he tried to control his temper.
He could tolerate Leila saying whatever she wanted about him, but how dare she insult Bridget?
"What? Are you angry?" Leila scoffed at Zain's anger.
"You know I am telling the truth. After she's been with men that are a hundred times better than you, what makes you think she's going to come running to you? Oh please, don't be naive! She's probably a dirty s**t who...."
Leila was still speaking when Zain's hand wrapped around her neck tightly, choking her.
His eyes were cold with a killing intent, and Leila was shocked, even scared!
They had argued before, but he never hit her!
"Let go of me!" She shouted, trying to pull his hand away, but Zain just gripped her neck tighter.
He really was going to kill her! The only thing Zain could think about was ending the life of this damn woman.
"Bridget is not a s**t. Compared to you, who seduced her husband and trapped him with a child, who do you think is the dirty s**t?" He asked coldly.
"Ah....please....please...." Leila could feel the life being snuffed out of her, and she pleaded now.
"What is going on here? Let go of her!" Zain's mother, Brenda, had heard all of the noise, and she came to find out what was going on.
Surprise was an understatement when she saw her son about to choke his wife to death.
She rushed at him, pulling Zain away from Leila. "What are you doing, Zain? Are you trying to get her killed? Think about the consequences. You will have to go to jail!" Brenda reminded him.
Zain returned to his senses when he heard this. It wasn't that he was scared; he just could not go to jail since he still needed to find the love of his life and get back together with her.
He let go of Leila, and she fell to the ground in a sorry heap.
Leila was glaring at Zain hatefully. "Don't you dare think this is over! I am going to press charges!" Leila threatened.
Brenda rushed to cover the other woman's mouth. "What charges? Have you lost your mind? He is your husband; do you think you are going to continue to enjoy the cozy life you have now if he goes to jail?" Brenda asked her.
Leila glared at Brenda hatefully. She hated the woman, but she had to admit that she was right. After all, the only reason she stuck with a man who hated her was because of the life that he could give to her.
Brenda looked towards her son, and seeing that he had not calmed down, she did not dare to say anything to him.
She turned her attention back to Leila. "You should understand why Zain is mad. It's been five years, but you don't have a kid yet. I didn't say anything all this while because of the miscarriage you had, but you need to give my son a child. If there was a child, he wouldn't be so hostile to you!" Brenda said.
She wanted a grandchild more than anything, and if Leila couldn't give birth, she would have to do something drastic again.
Zion just sneered at his mother before he walked out of the room.
A child? He didn't want one with Leila anymore!
He called someone as soon as he was out of the room.
"I need you to find the address of Bridget Watson for me," he ordered as soon as the person picked up.
