Ben's POV
Being a CEO of a worldwide production company can be stressful. Trying to find the right talent and look as well as the right crowd of people is hard work. I would much rather be in my Alpha office working on pack duties in the comfort of my own home but this bring the pack income so I make it work. I have been in my company office looking over head shots for some new talent. One girl was a country singer and she showed some real talent. However I brought her into mynoffice to conduct an interview but all she wanted to do was get in my pants. I don't play that game with anyone as I am waiting for my fated mate to join me. Alex my Beta and my best friend come in
"Man Ben you look like shit...are you ok man?" he asked
" I'm fine I just have a headache from looking at all these girls" I said
"You need a drink..come on man let's go out tonight" he said
"I'm not really feeling up to going out tonight" I said
"oh come on Ben you have been cooped up in your office all day. How are you going to find your mate if you don't get out and look man" he said
"I doubt I will find my Luna at a night club lex" I said
"but you might man look how do you know if you don't get out and look for her" he said "ok fine I will go out and have one drink but I will not be taking a girl home" I said "I know, I know your waiting for your Luna" he said and rolled his eyes.
I put on a white button up shirt that hugs my muscles and a black pair of pants and meet Alex in the limo. We go to the club and get a VIP both and a waitress asks for our drink
"Whiskey on the rocks" I said
"same" Alex said.
We talked and laughed and Alex got up and started dancing. I was sitting at the booth when a blond girl comes up to me
"My, My what is a handsome alpha like you doing in a place like this and with out your luna" she said running her hand up and down my arm
"I don't have a Luna yet" I said
"I could be your Luna for tonight alpha" she said and sat on my lap with her legs over mine and her hand on my chest
"No thanks. I am saving myself for my mate" I said and moved her off me
"Come on baby, I can make you feel good" she said trying to get back on my lap
"I said no" using my Alpha tone
"Ok alpha sorry" she said and walked away.
After that I was done with the club and started walking towards the door. This is the reason I never come out to the club. All of these she-wolfs want is a good position in a pack and I don't play that game. Alex noticed me leaving and comes up to me
"Dude where are you going? We just got here" he said
"Ya and I'm already done" I said and walked outside. I was standing by my limo and Alex comes out
"What happend are you ok?"he asked
"Ya I'm fine" I said
"Ben come on man we have been friends since we were kids. I know you and I know when you are brooding so are you going to tell me" he said
"I will tell you on the way home" I said and got in the car and Alex followed.
We stayed silent for a few minutes when Alex said
"Ok we are on the way home. Are you going to talk to me now" he said
"I just don't like it when other she-wolfs are all over me. The girl just wouldn't take no for an answer and you know me I'm waiting for my mate" I said
"Ok I understand that but would one girl be a bad thing?" he asked
"You know that mate's are cherished and how would my mate feel if she knew I slept around on her" I said
"ok, ok I get it" he said and did not say another word the rest of the way home.
Once we got home I went to take a shower to wash that she-wolfs scent off me. She smelt like alcohol and cheap perfume. I put on some boxers and went to bed. I woke up the next morning with a weird feeling almost like it was my lucky day. My wolf Denise was panting and tail waging in my head
"Hey Denis are you ok? why do I feel excited?" I asked him
"I'm not sure but I feel a change is coming and it's exciting" he said.
I got dressed and called the office and told them I was working from home today. Being Alpha of Blue Moon pack comes with some perks as the oldest pack in the US and one of the richest packs mean I get to take a day off whenever I want. I was sitting in my office when Alex comes in
"Hey Ben we have an invitation" he said
"Let me see that" I said and it read
"Your invited to silver star pack on August 12th to celebrate welcoming the new alphas Luna" it read
"This is it Ben I have a really good feeling about this we need to go" my wolf Denis said
"Alex get packed we have a Luna ceremony to go to" I said and went to my room to pack.
