*“Rain, get up! Get up we got to go!” The words seemed to come from a distant. *“Get up!” Chads voice rang in her head with clear urgency. Rain jerked awake and looked around her dark room in a daze. It was quiet except for a fan in the corner and some chimes blowing outside of her window. She looked over saw that Chad wasn’t by her side. Did he leave her again? How stupid could i be. She thought to herself as she fell backwards and pulled the blanket over her face. Why did she let herself lose control and allow him back into her life. Does he get some kind of enjoyment from building her up and tearing her down? *” Rain.” This time his voice was stern but loving. It wasn’t a dream, he was talking to her. *” Right now I need you to trust me. We need to go. Come to the back door.” *” What the fu” she started to ask. Her heart was pounding out of her chest and a knot in her stomach was starting to form but then she heard foot steps down the stairs. *” Haha very funny” she sent out. It was annoying that he would pull this prank. He should already know that she doesn’t like being scared, or had he forgotten. *” I was scared for a second.” Rain sent out with the feeling of annoyance. *Rain, what are you talking about?” She could feel the fear in his mind, it was so overwhelming it filled her with anxiety. The air became thick and her body froze. There was someone in her room and she was certain that it wasn’t her lifemate. *”Dont worry I’m on the way” chads voice quietly entered her mind. At this point that knot in her stomach had fully formed and her heart was about to explode. Suddenly someone grabbed her mouth and pulled her close. Rain tried screaming, kicking and punching but within seconds a rag was placed over her nose. If she were to breathe in the toxins she knew she’d have no fighting chance but unfortunately her powers didn’t include the ability to do that for long and she had to inhale and Instantly, she felt drowsy. She felt her body drift over airy clouds and she fell asleep. Chad ran through the back door. He had to get to her. He had to keep her safe. He could feel that she was scared and he needed to calm her. *” Don’t worry I’m on the way” he sent out as calmly as possible. Chad was scared shitless but he couldn’t stand the thought of his lifemate feeling anything but joy from here on out. He always just wanted her to be happy, that’s why he had to cut her completely out when he was gone. He couldn’t afford any distractions. He needed to focus on his training and feeling her heartbreak would of been too much to bare. Hell, his own heart breaking was pain enough. He didn’t want to leave but he had duties. He had no choice. It was the hardest thing he’d ever done and he’s thought about Rain everyday. Once news traveled of her mothers passing, he knew she’d need him. Soon they’ll be able to talk and he could finally explain everything but right now he needed to save her. His mind went blank. He couldn’t feel her there anymore. *” Sunny?“ he sent out as he entered the studio quietly. He walked closer to her bed and saw that she wasn’t there. *” Baby, talk to me. Where are you?” His throat swelled up as he tried to stay calm enough to think logically. He turned to check the bathroom but before he could take a step something hit him in the back of the head and everything went black
