The one week before school started went pretty slowly, probably because I had already registered all my courses and I didn’t need to go to the school for anything before that day. Peter became reclusive and I worried I had pushed him away. I hardly saw him, so I decided to do a solo excursion of St. Lucia. There was a bus going to certain popular places for first timers to the city, so I joined others who had already gotten into the mini bus. I was the last to enter. They passed around a cup of coffee to each of us, which I found quite endearing, because the ride was free. We were about six in the bus and the others seemed pumped about the trip.
