Liza’s POV
I sat in the chair as I waited for his response. I really hoped deep down inside me that he would agree.
I would feel really bad if I missed the hang out but there isn't much I can do about it because I am just a lowly rogue regardless of how much I try to paint myself or how much Arthur paints me.
"I'm just a bit skeptical about you sleeping out. I cannot assure your safety when you are out of this house" Arthur said to me reluctantly.
"I promise I'll be fine, just this once please." I begged him.
"Fine," he reluctantly responded with a sigh while he rubbed his forehead with his palm.
"But there are rules." He added with a soft tone.
"Okay, I don't mind." I responded immediately.
"You must sleep at Asher's house. That is the only place my mind can be at rest " he said to me with a little frown.
"That is not a problem at all." I said immediately.
"Fine then, curfew is 8pm. You should be in the house by then. Understood?" He asked me.
"Yes.' I affirmed without hesitation.
"With that, he smiled and left the table."
I sat down there smiling for a while before standing up to go to my room.
When I got into my room, I felt so excited I wondered if I was ever going to be chill enough for morning to reach.
I kept pacing in the room until I got tired and fell to my bed as I laid down looking at the stars from my window.
I kept staring at the ceiling without realizing when I slept off.
I could hear the birds chirping and the rays of sunlight on my face indicating that it is morning already.
I lazily stirred awake from my slumber as I felt the comfortable softness of my bed sheet against my skin.
I sing my leg to the side of the bed as I let out a sigh trying to get myself up. As I stand up, my legs meet with the wooden floor which creeps a bit from the weight of my body resting on it.
I stand on the spot for a while and stretched out. After stretching out, I lazily yawn while I walked to the window to open the curtains.
I still felt so sleepy which made me walk to the bathroom as I know that only one thing can do the trick to get me wide awake.
I splashed cold water on my face trying to chase away any remnant sleep.
After doing that, I flipped the strands of hair disturbing me behind my ears.
I soon brushed my teeth and had a quick shower in preparation to go out. Feeling indecisive of what to wear, I looked through the closet thinking of what to pick.
I soon settled for a light floral dress to wear and I wore sandals after that.
After being fully dressed, I stood in front of the mirror to be sure I was okay. After that, I headed downstairs for breakfast.
“Good morning.” I greeted Arthur immediately. I saw him at the dinning.
His facial expression looks better than yesterday which is a relief.
“Morning Liza, hope you slept well?” He asked me with a soft smile.
“Yes I did.” I responded.
“That is good, you look really pretty by the way.” Arthur complimented me and I blushed a little.
“You’re welcome.” He responded.
I had a really fast breakfast so that I can head out soon.
"You'll choke at this point." Arthur said to me.
"I'm sorry." I apologized with food choked in my mouth.
"It's alright, slow down " he urged me.
I tried to slow down but I soon felt filled up so I decided I was done with breakfast.
I headed out real fast because I didn't want to delay much. Arthur insisted I be taken there because he felt that it'll give peace of mind.
In a few minutes, I finally got to Asher's house and I was surprised to see everyone already there except me.
We all laughed happily and caught up with so many stories as we felt so happy to be with each other.
"how about a stroll?" Asher asked.
"A stroll?" We all coincidentally chorus.
"Yeah, a stroll. It will feel like an adventure and we'll bond too." Ahser suggested.
Personally, I love the sound of that because I don't really know anywhere here nor do I know why it feels like to walk with a group of people.
Going with them means disobeying Arthur but then, I feel like it is worth it. Anything to keep my mind occupied from thinking about when Ryder will come. Oftentimes, I feel like he has forgotten about me.
“Im in.” I said out loud excitedly.
“You sure?” They asked me.
“Yes, why?” I asked confused but mine answered instead Asher gave me a funny look.
“You know why.” One of them said.
“No, I don't. Enlighten me please.” I requested.
“You are the priceless egg, so?” Asher said.
I kind of felt odd and it was at this point I wish I could tell them that I am a rogue just like them.
I couldn't and I just had to keep it all to myself and pretend to be the golden egg that they think I am.
"Whatever" I expressed. "Are we going or not?" I asked them.
"I say I'm in." Another one says and in a few minutes, everyone agrees to be part of the adventure.
We soon packed? everything we need and set out through the window so that we would not be seen. I just admit, I feel like a teenager right now.
As we walked out of the kingdom, we walked further through meadows. As we walked further I couldn't help but admire the beauty of nature as excitement filled my heart.
After walking one job for a while, my legs began to feel weary but I don't want to give up.
