Yesterday was a mostly eventless day after the pill fiasco which consisted of a lot of sleep. I'd been summoned to eat dinner and noticed that the group I'd been seated with were on the opposite side of the table now, that the only one who looked my direction was Cherise and she wore an apologetic look. I could see the pity in her expression and decided to ignore it, eating in silence, pretending not to notice the curious gaze from the strangers around me. Being alone shouldn't have felt different to me. Still, I found myself missing Poala and Kai. We'd never even really talked much but it hadn't mattered.
