The cave path kept diving and turning right, towards the stairs of Durun-bar. Most of them were worried if the creatures of the stairs would await them at the cave's exit, if there even was one.
As they walked in silence, Amadeus slowed down a bit, letting Monika catch up with him.
- Mind if I interrupt your thoughts for a moment? - he asked.
His face was serious, which got Monika's attention.
- Is something wrong?
- A lot of things, but don't let me be literal. I am fine, but curious about something.
- I'm listening, then.
The demon looked at the rest, then back at her.
- I was wondering, once all this is over, what do you intend to do with me?
She stared at him, confused, and a bit dazed by his beauty.
