Crescent Moon Pack: Part 2

737 Words
Suddenly the Pack Land gates open and out walks one of the largest men any one present, with the exception of Selene, had ever seen. “It is so good to see you William.” Selene states excitedly as she floats up to wrap her hands around his neck. “Mother Selene, its wonderful to see you as well.” The giant man named William replied back to the Goddess. “I take it these must be your beautiful daughters you keep telling me about in my dreams?” He asked, motioning to the triplets. “That would be correct. These are my beautiful daughters and their protectors, Thomas and Rachel.” Selene stated with such pride. William takes two large steps, leans down and picks all five of them up and hugs them tightly, “Welcome to the Jade Crescent pack.” He says to them all, as he places them back on the ground. “It is wonderful to have you here. I understand that things have been hard, having to leave your home, finding out that there is a prophecy you have to fulfil etc. I just want you to know that you are safe here and this is your home.” William finished, smiling at everyone, his massive chest puffed out, signaling his pride. William looks up at the guards who are still stuck in shock and breaks out in deep bellowed laughter. “look at these two. It’s like they’ve seen ghosts.” He says, tears creeping from his eyes. Everyone else just stares at him, when out of the blue, Selene herself joins in on the laughter, the girls following suit, and then Thomas and Rachel. Selene approaches the guards and gently touches their shoulders, “It’s okay. Please go and announce that the Triquetra Jade Wolves have arrived.” She states to the guards as she hugs each one of them, before the run off screaming through the town the girls had arrived. “Why would you want everyone to know that the girls have arrived?” Thomas asked Selene, concerned for the safety of the girls. “Thomas you do not have to worry. No one here is of any harm to my daughters. The people here will be able to help them train, to gain full control of their powers. They have been training and preparing for the return of my daughters for the last eighteen years. On the night of their eighteenth birthday, there also must be a ceremony to welcome them to this pack, as the official leaders, or they will not be able to find two of their mates nor will they be able to unite the lands.” Selene responds to Thomas. “I just wish it didn’t have to be this way.” Thomas huffed. “I don’t like it one bit.” Athena spoke up, “Mother, what do you mean, we have to have a ceremony to become the leaders of the pack?” Selene looked at Athena and then at everyone else who was standing around her in a circle. “Let’s take this to your office William, if you wouldn’t mind.” “Of course, right this way.” William responded, motioning for them to follow him through the gates and towards the castle. The girls, Thomas and Rachel gasp in Awe as they walk through the huge pack walls. There are large, beautifully decorated trees lining the main road towards the pack house. Houses and stores line each side of the main road. What caught their attention the most, was that creatures of all kinds had started to line up along the main road. Elves, fairies, witches, Vampires, wolves - in human and wolf form- started appearing from behind the trees. Everyone wanted a sight of the Moon Goddess and her Children, The Jade Wolves. As they made their way to the Pack house, and thus William’s Office, you could hear the excitement in the voices of the people lining the roads “They really have returned!” “They are alive!” “I can’t believe it. We are finally saved!” “The prophecy is true.” “The jade wolves will unite the land!” So many people were thrilled about the return of the Jade Wolves. The sisters just look at each other, mesmerized, confused and full of excitement, and most importantly, of hope.
