10 Rama I hung up on them and then called Heather next. It rang. And rang. And rang. And rang. And rang I was about to give up when her face appeared. I actually had been looking at the quickest path to the Trident Chasm, so I didn’t right away notice her. “You look serious what is going on?” Heather answered. “Its…” I looked down and saw her. She looked disheveled. He hair was a mess, and her shirt…it looked like she had quickly buttoned it up and had messed up when she had buttoned it up. I looked at her questioningly. “You look like hell,” I said. “I was taking a nap,” she said quickly. That sort of answered questions in my mind. It kind of did explained her disheveled state, somehow I felt that was a part truth though. She also had this pinkish hue to her. “Oh, f**k not you too,” I said rubbing my head. “Me too?” She c****d her head. “Olga was acting weird earlier,” I said rubbing my head. “Said her sigmosis was getting to her, are you on your mating cycle too or something.” “Yeah that’s what it is,” she said quickly. I looked at her trying to read her. She was looking past the screen as if she were checking on something. “Okay…” I said she seemed really uneasy and very jump. Her breathing was also heightened, and the belt also showed elevated hormone levels and perspiration. “Anyways I was calling because I am going to head over to the Trident Chasm.” “The Trident Chasm?” Heather said suddenly coming out of her whatever the hell for a moment. “Why are you going there?” “Chasing a lead on one of those Annunaki symbols.” I said. “Annunaki symbols? In the Chasm?” Heather said. “The whole f*****g thing is a giant Annunaki symbol.” I said. “Seriously?” Heather said. “Do you know anything about it?” I asked. “No, I never heard anything about the Chasm,” Heather said then she looked like she thought about something. “But?” I asked. “There is that thing about Rudra being the one that created the Chasm with his ship.” Heather said and she frowned for a minute. “It was when Methuselah and him were fighting in the air, if I remember correctly the verse went something like… “Thus, the great chasm does here by be created by Lord Rudra as he smitten he foul and hated.” I had forgotten about that. I thought about looking for this poem thing, but then thought it wiser that I should just get that sort of information out of the horse’s mouth. “That’s right,” I said. “So why are you going over there?” Heather said. “Like I said chasing a lead.” I said. “And you can’t tell me?” Heather said. “No,” I said. “Meet me at this ES7R model.” I sent her the model number. “Okay, are we leaving right away?” Heather asked after biting her lip for a bit. “Why?” I asked slowly. “I need to f**k something,” Olga’s voice came back to mind. “Like serious f**k something until I pass out from orgasming so much. Like seriously stick something in me I don’t even care what f**k the s**t out of it and pass out!” I looked back at Heather. Suddenly things clicked. “Is she passed out?” I asked. “Who?!” Heather said turning a beat red. “You know who,” I said. “I don’t know who you….” Heather started to say. “Stop fooling yourself,” I said. “Honestly I…” I c****d my eyebrow. “You guys were acting so weird lately, I had no clue you would swing that way.” I said. “Seriously I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Heather said turning redder. “Olga I can hear you breathing in the background,” I called out. “f**k!” Olga swore. “You seriously needed to get laid that badly?” I asked. “It’s not her fault.” Heather said. “Krishna,” I sighed heavily rubbing my temples. Technically this sort of crap was kosher in Fakir society. The Midwives could sleep with each other or with the main wife and no one would bat an eye. I was more annoyed that they had been quite literally f*****g around and had not told me about it. It suddenly dawned on me that this was not the first time they would have done it. “Wait…how long have you two been doing it?” Heather bit her tongue and nervously shifted her eyes looking probably at Olga off in the distance, as if checking with her on what to say. “Seriously?” I said putting my hands up in irritation. “Okay, you know what I don’t care how long you two have been literally f*****g around. Meet me at that ES7R in 0400 hours.” “0400?” Olga’s voice called out sounding annoyed. I wondered for half a second why she was not coming to the screen and realized she probably was not dressed. I rubbed my head having a sudden headache come to me. Honestly if they had told me I would not have cared, I was irritated that they thought they could do just do it behind my back, and I would never find out. 0400 was about an hour from now and her annoyance sounded like she still had not taken that edge off that she was fighting off earlier. “Major, need I remind you that I am the senior officer here,” I said. “And like I told Vinnie once, I don’t care if f*****g Sigmosis gave you 12 d***s and you have to f*****g blow your load 12 different times just to get your f*****g edge off!” “Sigmosis did not give me 12 d***s,” Olga said. “I don’t give a s**t,” I said. “You two can f**k I don’t care, but you two both have to arrive at that ES7R at 0400 hours, do I make myself clear?” “Yes sir,” they both said. Heather’s face disappeared a second later. I had no doubt in my mind the second she disappeared they decided to fool around really fast again and then deal with making their way to that ES7R. I had another headache coming on. I sighed and shrugged. There was really no point in fretting over that. I got up from my desk. My office was a pretty standard issued office, it was medium sized, with amenities such as a desk, chair, lounges for guest and a plant that I was told was called a Ancillary, a sort of plant that grew on Golordia Beta, at the equator that was part of a larger rain forest tree that was called the Mother of Pearl. This was because of the pearl white leaves it had. “Hey Ankh,” I said talking to the plant, for some reason I decided to call it that. “I am about to head out for a few days,” I tapped on a side panel it pushed forward and swirled revealing a rack of weapons. I grabbed a few L1Cs, from the rack, I checked the charge, they were fully charged with a 24 hour battery cycle, even if fired. I grabbed a duffle bag off of one of the hangers nearby and put a couple of the L1Cs into the bag. I walked past the plant and it gave a polite nod. This plant was intelligent from what I was told. And if you talked to it, it would understand you. I did not, or rather could not believe it at first. But then I saw it reacting to stuff that I was doing or saying so I started talking to it. Eventually I called it Ankh, and something told me that the plant itself was who had told me. I grabbed this armor that was made of interwoven carbonite, it was slick-smooth and durable. Though it had its limits, I liked it because it was light and not bulky. This sacrificed durability but I would deal with that if the time came. Like if I ran into another one of those Horse things (knowing Sal he would be right and it would be called Hurse or some s**t), it would not survive that sort of ordeal, but few armor would survive that. “I am sure you can watch the room for me,” I told the plant. I walked past the plant and tapped on another panel. This one slid down revealing a bunch of knives. And these custom-made straps that I had designed to place the knives on. I grabbed the straps and placed them around my shoulders over the armor before I started grabbing the Juryoko blades that I had created. I also grabbed about a dozen other types of knives, I placed them all on these slots on my straps. “If the Falcon i***t shows up, stink up the place so bad that it will make him gag for a week.” I told the plant as I walked past it again this time tapping on a nearby picture of Jason Black. It rose and opened, revealing a safe, I tapped some numbers on the combination lock. It gave a clicking noise and the lock hissed open. I looked in and looked at the custom-made helmet. It was supposed to be a bear. But to me it looked like a f*****g bat for some reason. The ears were made way too pointy. I grabbed the helmet and placed it on my head. It hissed when it snapped on. I tapped on the side and the helmet collapsed on itself. The plant nodded when I looked at it. “Alright so take care of yourself,” I said. Ankh nodded again. I walked out of the room. I walked down the corridor past the room with the damn Avatar of Shiva and stopped and looked at it again. I again thought of blowing it to kingdom come. There was a ping noise and I saw a drawing of this girl with electricity surging through her hair punching through a body. This body looked just like that thing in that chamber. I stared at this drawing. “Who the hell is that Thoth?” I asked. There was no answer. I smacked my teeth and I continued to walk down the hallways. Another ping suddenly went off. I was a bit shocked about that. I opened the panel and saw a simple word scrawled under another chamber. This chamber had a woman inside of it. The woman had long black hair, she had olive skin and olive-shape eyes. She looked like she was sleeping behind a similar chamber to the man. This woman did not feel evil, this woman did not feel sinister. Quite the contrary there was this strange feeling of familiarity from this woman. “Thoth who the hell is this?” I asked. I had asked that before I had realized that there was a word on the front of the chamber. It was scrawled across it just like the one on the other chamber. I c****d my head and was wondering what it all meant. For there written across the chamber was one simple word: EIGHT
