Lily’s POV
I left my embrace from Caleb and instantly missed the warmth I received in his arms. The truth was put between us and it brought peace to me. I knew a part of me should be worried he would betray me but for some reason I trusted him. It was hard to explain but it just felt like there was some connection there, a mutual understanding of each other in a sense.
We sat there together, enjoying the peaceful sounds of the lake mixed with the wind blowing in the trees branches. Once again my special place has provided me with serenity that I couldn’t find elsewhere.
