His eyes squinted with reflex. He must not have expected such audacity from me but I couldn’t care less. I would be glad if he were to kill me right there and rest from his forceful b*****e.
Slowly, his hand reached for his pocket and he brought out a folded white silk cloth, which he wiped his face with. His nostrils were flaring with anger and I could feel the anger written boldly on his face.
It felt like his wolf would jump out at any moment but I stood my ground even though I was melting inside. I refused to back down first and locked my gaze with his.
“Aria,” he started. My heartbeat increased because that was the first time he called my name ever since we arrived at the pack.
He had always been calling me little rogue, which pissed me off every time.
“Little rogue,” his voice continued and my anger increased once more. My glare was enough to set his clothes ablaze
He went on about how he was giving me the chances he wouldn’t give anybody and that I should act my class. What class? The one he forced me into? Give me a f*****g break.
His hand left my chin and I threw my face to the other side. I was tired of seeing his sick face after all.
“Don’t rile me up and we will have it easy. There’s no use fighting the mate bond; my heart beats for only you.”
His lines were warm but his voice was so cold. It felt like a declaration, which I had no choice but to follow.
I smirked. “Kid yourself, Alpha; I will never belong to you. Not with what you did to my family. Until the day I see you being shredded apart, I will never forgive you.”
My voice rose with every word. I was speaking from the core of my pain. He detested me so much and the fact that I would probably never have the power to kill him myself got me more pissed.
“I see you are getting a little angry little rogue; we cannot have that. Rest up”
He ignored all that I said. His audacity and brazenness were out of the planet. So cocky! Arrogant! And full of himself!
“I will never be yours,” I declared the hundredth time but he just walked out of the room in silence.
Tears streaked down my cheeks as I watched him disappear. Many thoughts ran through me. I had thought of throwing the vase at the back of his head, shifting and sinking my paws in his throat, even if I might end up being shred to pieces by his wolf.
I just wanted him to feel pain—the same pain he inflicted on me. However, all that was a dream I would never get to fulfill. I just wanted to leave and live my life where I was before his intrusion.

Friday night came and the maids barged into my room to have me take my bath. As soon as I stepped out of the bathhouse, they brought the attire for the dinner with the Alpha. I hadn’t seen him ever since the encounter we had and I never wanted to.
Sitting in front of him for dinner was already leaving a bad taste in my mouth. How dare he request a dinner with me after ruining my family and turning me into a lone wolf?
“I refuse these clothes. I will go in the outfits I wore here.”
They were shocked by my words but I didn’t mind. Without giving them the chance to disapprove, I walked to the small closet at the side of the room and picked up the neatly folded clothes I brought from the human world.
“He will have our heads if you do not put on what he picks out,” they cried but I was adamant.
I wanted him to know that his luxury was not enough to buy me. I wasn’t interested in all of the fancy things he kept throwing my way. All I wanted from him was freedom.
After assuring them that they don’t have to worry about that, we marched to the dining hall, where he was already waiting for me. I purposely came thirty minute’s late to pass the message that I wasn’t interested in whatever he was pulling.
His yellow eyes raked my body as I settled in my seat. The chefs were waiting by the sides of the table, silence floating everywhere. Niamh was also standing about three feet from his back, her eyes fixated on my outfits before glancing to the maids.
“Don’t bother to tell them off; I insisted on coming this way.” I adjusted my sitting posture before looking at the Alpha, who was watching the drama silently.
With a tap of his cutlery on the table, Niamh walked towards me with two maids by her side. Before I could fathom what was going on, they grabbed me by each hand and pulled me out of the room. My yelling and kicking didn’t seem to affect them and they didn’t stop until we got to my room.
“Lady Aria, please do not anger the Alpha for your own good.” Her words were gentle but her tone was firm and strict.
She wanted me to get it registered in my head that I don’t get to what I want. I watched them strip me off the clothes and put on the ones I had refused earlier. My face was painted slightly with the powder and perfumes were sprayed on me for the final touch.
Gently, I was led back to the dining table and this time, he signaled to the chefs to serve the food. The table was filled with different food and fruits within a short moment and he motioned for me to eat.
With a straight face and an intense glare, I reached for the wine goblet and emptied the entire content in it on my dress. A series of gasps filled the room due to my action but he wasn’t shaken.
He stopped for a split second and cut into the meat in front of him, ignoring my act. I stood up with the dripping cloth and tugged at the waist, the skirt falling down to my feet to reveal the skirt I had worn earlier.
“I don’t need your dirty luxury; it reeks of bloodshed. Now that the cup is empty, we can conclude we had dinner, right?”
I didn’t wait for his response before I marched out of the hall, leaving the soiled clothes behind.
