CHAPTER FOUR : ERIS POV

As the police chief promised Eris to let her stay with her best friend and not in her house.

He drove Eris to her friend's place. And he also thinks that it is the best decision for Eris to recover quickly from the incident.

They arrived at her friend's house, Eris gets off in the car and takes her belongings. after she grabbed her things, then she said to the Chief.

Eris:" Thank you for everything Chief,

I know that it is not your job to help me, but don't worry I will not forget your kindness."

Chief: " your welcome

Young lady, I always help everyone in our town and I take that as my duty too."

Eris:" I will constantly visit the station, for my family's case."

Chief:" if that's what you wanted to do I'm okay with it. And rest assured that we will catch the culprit, other than the police, the hunters will help to resolve this case too."

Eris stared at the door of her friend's house thinking about what was the Chief last said.

Eris:" What hunters?"

"what's that and who are they?"

"I lost words, o forgot to ask Chief."

She sigh while talking to herself when her friend opened the door. And they were both startled.

Her best friend Trina opened the door to wait for Eris outside when...

Trina:" iaaahhhhhhhhh! "

" Eris! You shocked me! "

" I was waiting for you the whole day,

I'm so sorry for your loss.

are you okay?"

Eris dropped her things and immediately hugged her friend, she burst into tears again and again

Eris:" ttr- Trinaa!"

"I'm not okay huhuh!"

Trina:" ssshhh ahh it's okay, calm down."

Trina said while she pats Eris's back gently, to calm and comfort her friend.

Eris:" How am I supposed to live when they are not with me anymore? Huhuhu"

Trina:" Don't say that Eris, you still have me."

"My mom and I will be here for you,

We will be your family now, you can overcome this."

Trina's mom stared at the two and hugged them.

Trina's Mom:" It's okay now, you two stop crying the food is ready let's have dinner."

"And you Eris, Don't worry you can stay here with us whenever you want,"

"we are your family now, and I am sure God will punish the suspects in your stead."

"let's eat now, and then Trina will show you to your room."

Trina and Eris stopped crying, they have their dinner.

Trina's mom is trying her best to divert Eris thinking, she wants Eris to heal from the traumatic incident.

While Trina is cheering up Eris.
