Connection

I never knew how much fun it could be, sitting on rooftops and counting stars with your best friends can build relationships to last a lifetime. I was never a social person, I never had these so called friends, I always got in fights and had ‘anger issues’. After I punched the principal and got expelled I never applied to another school. The only thing I do these days is read. I have read so many books its probably unhealthy, without books and my older brother Shiro, I wouldn’t have gotten a semi-colon. Well I guess this is kind of where this story begins, me at the library looking for another book, I decided on ‘Gone With The Wind’. Yes it was the third time this week I have read this book. I’m not sure why but the story line gets me everytime to the point I feel chills up my spine reading each page. My love for this book is a boundless amount. Disproportionate to a point of guilt for reading this book so much. Anyways I plan on going to another school after what happened at my last one I still need to graduate and things like that. I realize how important it is but oh well. ~ I grabbed the book off of the shelf and smiled, I thought about buying the book before but just didn’t have the money to. I turned around to see a slightly annoyed brunette looking mad at me. I raised my eyebrows confused as hell. I have gotten better at my anger since the principal. The only reason I punched him was because he pushed me over the edge. Anyways back to this guy. He just pointed at the book then I pointed at the book. He nodded, I wanted to read this book today and so I will. I shrugged and turned around walking away to go check out the book not caring what annoyed being thinks. I finally finished checking out my book and walked out the doors. “Hey!!” I turned around, head down, getting annoyed I just wanted to read my book, nothing more, nothing less. I looked up to see who was bothering me. It was the dude from inside. “Hey Mullet!! I need that book.” he said rather dryly and unamused. “Go buy it then, and I don’t have a mullet.” I replied getting annoyed, I turned around again and walked away. “Please!!” He said ignoring the mullet part most likely. I kept walking after he gave this response. “I’ll buy you the book just not right now, I just need that book I have an english assignment an-“ I turned around and cut him off rather quickly replying happily. “Really?! You will??” Shocked he looked at me and smiled. “Of course.” ~ After going back into the library and turning the book in I handed it to him with a piece of paper. I added my number to it because I want this book extremely bad. I’ve wanted it for over a year, and can’t wait to get this book. When I handed him the note, he said “Keith? The name’s Lance.” He then walked away muttering something about needing to text, but how it was a drag. Maybe I should sign up for school, it wouldn’t be that bad, right?
