Chapter 5 - Let’s meet others

We entered Elijah's office and this place is incredible. His office is really huge. He has nice sofas with a very nice table in centre. His chair is simply magnificent, very high and quite attractive. This is like a king's office.

I went forward to sit on his chair still adoring it "No offence but this office is way cooler than the previous place"

They all laughed except Kellan "that is so unfair" "Sorry kellan just saying the truth" I told him

I saw Elijah staring at me. Oh my God, i'm sitting on his chair. I stood up immediately "Sorry I shouldn't have done that" "No please don't say that. I like it, do sit" he insisted. So I gave in really, beside the chair is crazily comfortable.

Kendra and ingrid sat at the other end of the table opposite me. They shifted the chair a little so they won't be backing the rest as they sat on the sofa.

Ben, Kellan, and Olivia sat right beside Elijah.

"Olivia how was your journey with the kids" Ingrid asked

"Well stressful. It was a bit difficult locating them." Karina told her

"Their powers?" Ben asked

"Well they have amazing powers and you should really see them yourselves. You'd be amazed " she spoke with so much happiness

Kendra look back at me "We were so happy we forgot to ask you about your powers" she smiled and they all looked at me smiling. Expecting something

"I don't understand, I thought you were going to tell me what power I have or going to give them to me " I asked them confused. I mean, I thought they were going to know what powers I should have or give them to me.

They all are staring at me like I slapped them in the face. "Uhh- Rain what do you mean by that. Don't you know your powers" Kellan asked me

"No I don't. Aren't you guys suppose to know it" I asked them

"No Rain we can't. You have to show us, you will be the one to tell us your powers" Kendra spoke up looking terrified

"Sorry to say but I don't know my powers. I know nothing " they all stood up from their seats looking terrified

Elijah was pacing around fuming with anger "So you want to tell me Jackson took her for 19years not even training her to use her powers " he was literally screaming now making jump up from the chair scared

"Calm down Elijah please" Karina tried to stop him but he slightly pushed her out of his way

"Calm down? Calm down for what. Rain doesn't even have an idea what her powers are or how to use them." he shouted

"Elijah enough." Kendra shouted at him

He seems to always agree when Kendra speaks.

"Well whatever the case might be, we'll just have to train her to see what her powers might be. Before that , let's see the rest" Ingrid said

"I'll go and get them" Olivia said leaving the room

"Come and sit dear" Kendra pulled me to the sofa and Elijah came to my other side, leaving me in between them.

Ben and ingrid took their seat on a sofa next to ours on the left hand side

While Kellan took a seat on a sofa on our right hand side.

Karina walked in with two guys and a girl. One of the guys had a blonde curly hair with blue eyes, wearing a faded blue jeans and black fitted t-shirt.

The other has brown short hair with brown like eyes wearing a blue jeans and simple white t-shirt.

The girl is really pretty with her brown hair and grey kinda eyes. Wearing a denim short, pink tank top with a shirt jacket and sandals.

Olivia sat next to Kellan. While they remain standing looking scared. I don't understand why. Then I remembered, they are nervous because the elders are seated.

"Take your seats" Kendra spoke first pointing to a sofa opposite us.

"Well I assume Olivia explained to you everything" Elijah spoke again "Yes sir" they said together

"Please be free with us. We are here to help and protect you every way we can." Ingrid said smiling and I think that relieved them a little cos they were smiling now.

"I'm Elijah. I believe you met Olivia already” he gestured to her and they nodded.

“This is Kendra, Ben, Ingrid and Kellan” he introduced

They seem to be looking at me, like wanting to know the reason for my represent.

"Ben and Kendra here are Alphas too as you know. We will all help training you but they will be your main instructors. And I suppose you know the reason for this security being put up " Elijah said and they nodded still looking at me. I don't think they noticed how these people are staring

"Well care to demonstrate or tell us about your powers" Kendra spoke now

The guy with the blonde hair stood first and stepped out the yard. Elijah’s office had a separate floor to ceiling glass door that exits to the yard.

"My name is Edward, 21 years old from Silver city." He stopped a minute and the next minute we saw ourselves outside in the jungle. Still seated but outside. We see a little girl covered in blood just standing and not moving.

Suddenly we were in the room again. "Creating illusions and letting people see what i want them to see" he explained, I looked at everyone's faces and see they are impressed

He continued "I am also able to sense an attack few seconds before it happens"

"Few seconds how?" Ben asked

"At most 30seconds. That's how long i've been able to see for now" he said shyly. Probably not proud of himself but he should be. His powers are amazing.

"We will work on that " Kendra said smiling and Edward smiled walking back to his seat.

The girl stood up next and went to stand where Edward was previously. This one seem like a bold one

"I'm Kaylin, 20 years old from the Central magic city ." she paused looking around , perhaps looking for something . She looked towards flowers in the yard and it started growing and moving, coming forward, it wrapped itself around Edward's legs. He tried pulling them off but they are just too strong. The plants unwrapped itself reducing back to it normal size.

That is just so cool "plant manipulation is my gift" she smiled "i'm also a dream walker. I go into people's head when they are asleep to see what they’re dreaming? " she said

Wow. Even Elijah smiled. "That is great Kaylin" Ingrid said

The last one. He stood up and took his stand too.

"I'm Max, 20 years old. I'm from Skull City " he paused looking down like he's shy.

"He started demonstrating showing a big green orb around him for few seconds "It’s a shield, Nothing can go through it" this is amazing. "I also have cryokinesis" Okay I have no idea what that means

He demonstrated, throwing an arrow like ice across the yard. ‘Ice boy’ I thought

I noticed kaylin and Edward are really staring at me.

"What are you staring at" Guess Elijah noticed and he asked them in a harsh tone

"Forgive us elder Elijah, we haven't been introduced with her. There are only six elders if i'm correct " Kaylin spoke out

Elijah wanted to talk but I stopped him placing my hands on his. I looked at him shaking my head a little. He pulled back understanding what I meant.

I stood up and walked to the open space.

"My name is Rain, i'm 19 years old. From here?" 'Elijah smiled hearing that' . I stood there not knowing what to say next, I don't know how to tell them I don't know what my power might be . After seeing them display theirs, I felt embarrassed to say that.

Kendra came next to me and pulled me back to my seat. "That would be all everyone. We start training tomorrow. Go to your rooms and everything you want shall be brought to you. Tour around the house and make yourselves comfortable " Kendra told them and they left the room with Olivia leading them out.

"Sweetheart, you don't have to be embarrassed about this. Some takes time to know their powers, or even know they’re Alphas" she told me smiling

We stood up too and Elijah spoke "Kendra please take Rain to her room so she can get some rest" he told her. He faced me "if you need anything, just call one of the guards outside and they will get it okay?" he smiled and I nodded "You go now, we need to talk about some matters" I nodded and left with Kendra.
