Chapter 1
Astor was the capital of Tenebrae, its city famed for its great beauty and history. However, it is no stranger to the people who visit; those of them that are able are either scholars or artisans, but there is never any shortage of travellers passing through, either way. This being the case it had noble families from all corners of the empire visiting every year on the anniversary of the founding of Tenebrae and their creation.
It has been many years since Tenebrae was found by The Silva family , the famed silva family that created what would one day be known as the greatest art in all of Remnant and would be hailed by historians for generations to come. While many other noble families would boast of this achievement, the Silvas were a proud family with no interest in bragging about others’ accomplishments. The head of the silva family,the king of the province Ramses silva and his wife Gloria silva had a daughter Lily silva , on the day she was born there was a beautiful sunshine that had a rainbow circling it,the moon never shone that night, they wanted to name her sunshine but out of fear of thd sun goddess they named her Lily.
In short,she was perfect. Her father, Ramses,had always been protective of his little girl, he loved her unconditionally. He loved how Lily had inherited his eyes and nose, how she looked just like him even though she was younger than he,even when she smiled she was just a carbon copy of herself. Her crimson lush long hair and her emerald green eyes were the reflection of her father's physique,they had only one attribute, however,that one quality made the difference between her and him.
Her smile.
It was small and soft and full of happiness, she radiated light around her at all times as if she were shining her own version of the Sun itself. She was pure sunshine,this earned her the nickname princess sunshine because everyone knew that royalty should only shine when in the company of their closest friends,but her smiles and laughter could brighten entire worlds,and even the world she lived in now.
She had a wonderful childhood,her parents loved her very much, she grew up surrounded by laughter and smiles,as she had a loving father and mother she knew that her childhood had been the best in the world. It felt wrong for something so beautiful not to stay, for someone as amazing as Lily to end up here,with these sadists. But fate played cruel tricks on her and Lily had no choice but to accept it. The world is cruel,she had seen too many horrible things to count,she had seen people die,she had seen people suffer,she had seen people die and she had seen people suffer more.
But she had also seen people grow,people who had become stronger and better,people who had grown into strong, brave, and kind people. People who had become the people she wished she could have been. During the annual celebration of Astor founding,the Silva family hosts a grand banquet in honor of their ancestors achievement in founding Tenebrae,Noble's from all over the capital and kingdom came to Astor to celebrate with Silva family,This was where Lily's life took it's own share of cruelty in form of Damson Kingston as his name implied he was royalty a pure blooded one, Unlike the Silva family that were only kins to royalty but were far more influential than several Royal families in the Royal capital,
Damson was a spoilt royal prince, he wasn't the first son but he was too proud for a second son , he used women and dumped them the next morning,the moment he set his eyes on Lily silva his heart and brain just stopped working all he wanted was her, and to his suprise she wanted nothing with him.
She was putting on a beautiful silver lined dress with a beautiful rose crown as she stepped into the ballroom the entire place went from busy and noisy to silent ,all she could hear was her own shoes resounding and whispers about her beauty and elegance,she let out a beautiful smile that made the young men there lose their minds, As she made her way to the fruit bar for a fruit drink,she signalled the musical band to continue their play slowly they could hear lively music and soon after the lively chatter continued ,Lily had turned Twenty the previous week but gifts were still coming in her honor, Damson soon walked up to her and tried starting a conversation "Hello m'lady " he said Postrating on one knee as he kissed her hand,she Courtsied but knowing what he was playing at she could hear an imaginary person call her name "yes mother " she shouted and said to Damson as she smiled and walked away "I'll be back" she soon disappeared into the crowd, Her best friend Liveta Kingston saw the drama she put on to escape the clutches of the Royal capitals biggest Playboy , Liveta went after silva and soon caught up with her laughing as she said " you seem to have caught the eye of the Royal playboy " Silva pouted and said " Doesn't your brother know better than to woo women every single day " This is the third time I'm avoiding him, can't he read the handwriting on the wall" Liveta was the first daughter and third child of the soon to be Emperor of the continent Orlando Kingston, after the Kingston's the Silva's ranked second in influentiality, Liveta was so pretty,Her long raven black hair and blue eyes she was the carbon copy of their late mother Mira Kingston, " I know he can be silly,but tell him to his face , you running away will only keep him coming back " she advised "I'll have to do something about this " Lily thought to herself ,as soon as Liveta went away,Damson made his way to Lily as he spotted his sister coming from the Balcony , he always knew that they were always together, As he reached Lily he began "The night is beautiful isn't it?" he said looking at Lily "oh yes it is" she replied trying to subdue the urge to answer another imaginary call "it's now or never " she muttered "Damson " she said grabbing his attention " Yes Lily " he said as though he had been waiting for her to call his name "well" she continued " I know you've been making advances at me and i have been turning you down but this is different "she said bracing herself for her next words would determine her fate with the Damson saga " we all know your nickname as the Royal capital's Play boy" Damson was just staring in utter shock "I'm not trying to judge you or anything" she continued " The truth is I'm not interested in you or being one of your playthings cause I've seen how the women you talk to behave " Damson was no longer shocked he was getting angry , he thought Liveta had blurted out his womanizing rendezvous to Lily "I'll show her never to mess with me again" he thought to himself ,"Damson, i don't want to court you or consider your friendship, if you could do us a favor and please stop trying to ask me out cause I'm not interested" she said finally placing her hand on his shoulder "let's leave whatever we have now as it is please" This were her last words as she withdrew from him and headed back to the party " finally it's done " she said heaving a sigh of relief but it was far from over Damson wasn't planning letting this slide both for Lily and Liveta,
He said " I'm going to make you both pay for this"
It was his bitter truth,the same reason he lost his inheritance
