Chapter 18

Third Person POV

~Flashback~

"Come on Toni lets go before we are late!"  Lucas yelled. They were on their way to an important meeting to discuss the trade to be made with the Irish. "Hold onto your panties im coming." Toni yelled back. 

Lucas, Toni, and Jax were the best of friends and they did everything together. You didn't have one without the other two. 

Toni came down in his suit along with Jax. "Finally!!!! I swear you guys are worse than girls getting ready." Lucas said while the trio let out a chuckle. "So what is going down in this meeting?" Jax asked. Lucas sighed as they were getting in the car.

"We are trying to make a deal with the Irish into letting us run the guns in states." Toni answered instead of Lucas. About twenty minutes passed and they reached the warehouse where the meeting was being held. 

"Let me go in first to make sure everything is set up for you to come in Luke." Toni said. "That is why you are my beta let us know if its all clear." Lucas replied. Toni got out of the car and walked in the building but Jax felt like something was off. 

"Lucas you know i love toni like a brother." Lucas looked at Jax with confusions written all over his face "What is your point Jax?" He asked. Jax sighed and looked out the window "Look us three have always been like brother, we trusted each other with everything we have but i can not shale this feeling like something is about to go down and we are not going to like it." jax explained his concerns.

Right as Lucas was about to reply Toni gave the all clear to come in. As they were getting out Jax had a look on his face saying we should not be here. They walked inside and they will regret that decision for the rest of their lives. 

As soon as their feet stepped in shots were fired. Jax pushed Lucas out of the way and started shooting back. Jax ended up getting shot in the shoulder. "s**t Jax are you good."  Jax looked at Lucas like he was the stupidest man in the world. 

"No you dipshit Toni shot me." Lucas let out a loud powerful growl. "TONI WHAT THE f**k IS THIS s**t MAN!"  Toni on the other hand had shot Jax and was pissed that he didn't kill him right away. 

More of their men came in and killed almost all of the men that were in the warehouse. But sadly one got away. "Get Jax patched up and find me Toni." Lucas ordered his men. Everyone yelled "YES BOSS" 

Lucas looked around everywhere and was pissed. How could i be so stupid? How did i not see that he was planning something? Lucas thought to himself. 

"I will get you Toni Cruz! You will die soon!"  Lucas said to himself.

~End of flashback~ 

*Kat's POV* 

I have been sitting here for what seems like hours. I am scared something is happening and i shouldn't be in here while Lucas is out there. Ughh this is so frustrating. I feel myself getting tired. 

I must've fell asleep because the next thing i know i am being lifted. I opened my eyes to see my mate with a sad look on his face. "Lucas.." He was silent and didn't even spare me a glance. 

"LUCAS!" I said louder. He looked down at me and that is when i saw unshed tears in his eyes. I raised my hand and caressed his cheek. "Baby what is wrong." He sighed and placed me on our bed. "Lucas please talk to me don't push me away." 

"How much do you know of your parents business... Of my business." He said looking at me with something in his eyes that i can't figure out. I think it is fear. But what would he have to be afraid of. 

"I know that you and my parents did business together i know that you are rich but what does that have to do with anything?" I asked scared of what his answer would be. 

He took a deep breath "Look i love you and i do not want to loose you. Not now not ever." I looked at him with confusion written all over my face. "Lucas what is going on because you are starting to scare me." I say to him and he pulls my face to his and crush his lips on mine. The kiss was passionate like he was pouring everything he had into that one kiss. It was like he was saying goodbye. 

Once we pulled apart both gasping for breath. His forehead on mine. "What i am about to say may change the way you see me and i want you to know how much i love you." He rushes out and looks me in my eyes.
