The week sped along more quickly than she’d thought it would, however. Two days after her movie date with Michael, Jerome got one of its rare heavy snowfalls, blanketing the town in white — and making many of the roads downright impassable. Main Street itself, since it was also technically part of Highway 89-A, was plowed overnight by an ADOT crew, but there still wasn’t much traffic getting through. It was lovely to see the snow, however, and it made Autumn think of Flagstaff, and of how her parents were doing there. The snow would have been even more intense at that higher elevation. Then again, people in her hometown were used to heavy storms.
