Chapter 18

“Would you stop following me?” I growled at Walker as he caught up again. I was not sure how the boy was doing this. I wondered if it had to do with implant. But if that was that did not explain why the soldiers, or their pack leader had not been able to find me earlier. “I told you I was coming with you.” Walker said. “Why would you want to come with me?” I asked. “Are you kidding?” Walker said. “You just defeated a group of three soldiers along with a Colonel.” “Is that what you call a pack leader?” I asked. “If you put it that way, a Colonel would be in charge of a bunch of packs and pack leaders.” Walker said frowning. “So, he is like a Supreme Chief,” I said, and the boy shrugged. “My father was a Supreme Chief, he was a leader of a section of my home world. There were many other chiefs and pack leaders under him.” “Well then I guess that would be correct.” Walker said. “You still have not told me who your brother is,” I said. The boy looked nervous and he sighed deeply. “My brother is Victor Zuniga,” Walker said. “Since our Brother Xavier Disappeared, he is the crown Prince of our planet.” “Your planet?” I asked, and the boy nodded. “You mean to tell me there is more inhabited planets than this one?” “Yes, my home planet is called Saffar,” Walker said. “It’s in the constellation of the chained woman.” I pictured what I recognized as the maiden in my mind. I remember that this was this cluster of stars that if you looked at it in certain angles looked like a female chained to a boulder. I wondered if this boy’s race also saw the same thing. It was curious that we all would have the same idea as each other. “So, you mean to tell me that there are other civilizations out there?” I asked, and the boy looked at me confused. “Why do you look confused?” “I thought it was common knowledge that there are 26 known inhabited planets just in this cluster of stars.” Walker said. “26!” I said shocked. “Yes, and that is in the vicinity of about 1000 light years, I think it is.” Walker said frowning as if he didn’t really know if this was true information or not. “So, you mean besides my race, the Golordians, and your race there are at least 23 others?” I asked, and Walker nodded. “But that is in this cluster of stars.” “You keep saying that what do you mean by this ‘cluster of stars?’” I asked. “It’s what we call a bunch of stars that are within reach of each other. I’ve confused as he hopped off and grabbed a stick and started drawing a swirl on the floor. “This is the galaxy we are in…that’s a group of a million stars that are in the same vicinity…” he added, and I nodded. I saw him draw this swirl and started drawing different arms coming out of the center swirl. “See these things are called star clusters. I’ve heard some people call these arms. Which if you stop to look at it, it does look like arms coming out of this.” Walker said, and I nodded in agreement. Walker traced back an arm and he looked up at me and said, “This we call it the horseman’s star cluster, named because if you look at it from far away it looks like it starts at the constellation of the horsemen.” “And you mean to tell me that, in this arm there are 26 different races?” I asked, and Walker nodded. “Yes, that we know of, at least.” Walker said. “What do you mean that you know of?” I asked. “Well we definitely didn’t know about your race for example.” Walker said. “And you think I am from this arm cluster?” I said. “You would have to be,” Walker shrugged. “Do you know anything about your home world?” “We called my home world Kyzlbrahma,” I said. “I wonder where it could be…” Walker said. “It has to be close to here, if only we could find someone who might know more about this region of space…oh I know, maybe we can go to the ancient city of Rhodesia.” “Ancient City?” I said, I again cursed that map I had gotten earlier that didn’t even show anything that even remotely looked like an ancient city. “There is nothing ancient about that city in the distance.” “Well the ruins are not far from here,” Walker said. The thought of getting some of my questions answered loomed in my head. If there was anything that could possibly answer some of them would be interesting to indulge in. “How far is it?” I said sighing deeply. “I’ll show you,” Walker said as he pulled out the sliver and projected that map again. He pointed at this area that looked like it was in the shape of a bean, I had to take another look at it, it had the same shape as a bean, it was strange. I saw the same words on this thing as the rest of the map. “That says Ancient Rhodesia,” He then pointed at a silver glyph on the map that looked like it was relatively the same area that I had gathered we were in earlier in that map I had. “This is where we are,” Walker said, “I say that it’s about a day walk from here,” He said then he indicated where the ocean was on the map and it looked like it was in the same general direction as this ancient city as he called it. “So, we don’t need to divert that much to get to it.” “How do you know if anything is going to be there that would be worth value?” I asked. “Call it a gut feeling,” Walker said. “My father once said those who ‘trust their gut are usually the ones who find trouble more frequently.’” I said. “Trust me, there is definitely some good things there,” Walker said, there was this spark in his eyes that made me wish I had the same spark that he has, when I was his age. “I just know it.” “Very well.” I said
