The class of Mafia

My father is a single dad. That's what the people say, a society-made term, but I know he is not just a single dad or a police officer or the amazing skateboarder. He is the best father in the whole world, and the best person I will or anyone will ever meet. I know he misses mom. I don't miss her, not because I have never seen her, but because dad never let me feel that something was missing in my life.  I can still remember him ironing my uniform when I was five years old, making my pigtails, while the breakfast caught on fire haha! I remember being sad when no one could come to school to collect my first prize with me, but I also remember my dad's proud smile and his sad face for not making it at school. I remember going to sleep only eating cookies and sometimes only water, but I also remember when dad so happily ate my burnt toast with a straight face. He even asked if he could pack some for lunch.  We somehow grew up together, I, as a daughter and dad as a father. We are friends and will always have each other's backs but now it's time for me to welcome someone in our lives. I can't always be by his side and I don't want him to be alone. I am sixteen already and I won't be here for college. He deserves all the happiness in this world. And if that means making space for a new mom, then I will. I will make sure she feels at home here. I am not supposed to be at home today, but I will just put this little gift by these candles...oooh someone's a romantic! And now I will just slip away. Hehe, I am so happy it feels like someone is tickling me from inside! Okay, time to tiptoe, tiptoe by the window, under the stairs, behind the chairs... What? Why are armed men here? And why are they not in their uniforms? Wow! dad is gonna be mad at them. Oh! miss Clevels is here already? Why is dad at gunpoint? Why is she smiling? What is happening? "Mr. Avens, I thought you are a man of your word. Just testify against the Scorpio clan. You will be out of trouble and your precious daughter too. You thought sending her off will keep her safe?. You didn't think we could track her down?" She has a g*n too... Why is she doing this? Why is she threatening dad? she loves him... And why are all of dad's people holding him at gunpoint? I am scared... dad... I am scared... "My daughter is safe. I can do nothing for you Dahlia." Dad has his hands raised... You are not a criminal dad. Why don't you order them?  What do I do? How do I get us out of this? Tears are blocking my vision...and fear is paralyzing me... "You may go ahead and kill me." Dad no! " Minister Wan would never get out of this. The Scorpios are criminals and so is he. Trying to frame them is utter idiocy.No matter how much you tamper the evidence and frame them, you WILL leave something crucial behind and I,  of all people, know that they are no fools."
