HIS REDEMPTION

CHAPTER 1

Jeremy a very clumsy, slow but brilliant boy lived downtown wall street in the city of Chesapeake Virginia, he is well known for his clumsiness in this small town but only a few know his brilliance. He feels lonely due to his psychological status.

Jeremy goes into the gate of his high school with his heart racing fast, he was always high tension on school days. He goes straight to his classroom ducking his classmates and boycotting the bullies in his school who takes advantage of his clumsiness.

"Here comes the clumsy puppy",

Mark spat out loudly at the hearing of the whole class. Mark who was known for his mischievousness in the class always manage to squeeze out the little courage Jeremy must have summoned to walk from the gate down to the classroom. On hearing Mark's voice, Jeremy tries to dodge the eyes of the entire class ready to devour him as all eyes turned to him on hearing Mark's comment but it was already late as a girl from behind pushed him in and he fell on the floor causing an uproar of laughter.

While some murmured about his clumsiness, others were against Mark's act of bullying towards the poor boy, Jeremy sat down on the floor praying silently for intervention from the teacher while sobbing silently...

"What's going on here?" Teacher Yvonne's voice echoed from the entrance of the classroom. Jeremy has a sigh of relief and sprung up immediately without missing the knowing glance from Mark who states

"Don't you dare report me"...

The whole class went silent. Knowing the teacher Yvonne never lets the sleeping dog lie until she gets to the root of the matter and Is satisfied with the result she gets, until then she won't stop bugging him. Jeremy knowing she was pointedly asking him in person started cooking up a story that would hold her peace,- here comes the voice again!

"Jeremy what in God's name is going on in this class and why were you on the floor when I came in?" Yvonne questioned again

Jeremy stood up clumsily though he kept wishing he was courageous enough to report the bullies-

“I fell on my way in ma'am" Jeremy finally arrived at a suitable lie to fool the teacher or so he thought.

Though Yvonne is aware of Jeremy's clumsiness but is also one of the few people to recognize his intelligence and she is also aware that he must have been bullied. So as not to get him into further trouble, Yvonne decided to let the issue slide but just for the moment with the resolve to have a study date with him later in the week.

Have your seat and be more careful next time Yvonne said. Jeremy sat down with pain in his heart as to what
