CHAPTER:- 28

"So, this is the end of the show, I guess. Let's wrap it up. And I would like to request something to Miss Ishita." Abhay said, standing up from his seat. Ishita was muttering numerous curses under her breath. She herself was shocked with this newly found self of her, but at that moment she cared least about anything else, that had nothing to do with Aahan. And when she said anything other than Aahan, she meant herself too. Yes... Aahan had become priority and she still was unknown to it. "Miss Ishita!" Abhay's voice put a break to her thoughts. "Yes." She snapped being furious. Rudra signalled her to maintain her anger and thankfully except her, nobody noticed the little exchange of signal between father and daughter. "Can you please, help me with the procedures of firing this traitor?" Abhay asked pressing on the last two words, clearly to annoy Ishita more. From day one, he had tried his best to break Ishita's composure. The way she handled herself against all the odds, without showing a little bit of emotions. And that irked him. Now when he was getting to see her frustration, he was determined to let the world see the worst side of her. And then he will make her out of this company. Again he will become the best employee of the Vermas'. There would be no hurdle in her promotions and his life will be back again, with receiving daily praises from everyone. And, for this he got the best weapon, that could weaken every strong shell around Ishita and that weapon was Aahan. He had seen the blooming love in her eyes, though she hadn't realised it yet. But, what he didn't know was, love could do wonders sometimes. Indeed imagining any harm near Aahan, Ishita would go insane. Every protective shell, that she had build around herself will be broken. But then the world will see the real Ishita. And nobody was aware of that side of her, not even her. Rudra knew what could her daughter be when provoked. He was his father for something. Thus he let Abhaya to provoke the wounded tigress, then only world will notice how sharp her claws were. Ishita stood up from her sit and walked towards the end of the room. "What kind of unprofessionallism is this. Unbelievable! Well, we can believe it when an inexperienced college going girl will get the position of HR." Abhay taunted. All his life he wanted such a chance only. Ishita kept walking, until she reached the end of the conference table. Every eyes were on her, when she stopped and turned around. The guy managing projector glanced at her in confusion. "Can you please insert this for me?" Ishita asked him in a sweet voice and he nodded at her in daze. Well, a sentence from Ishita's mouth was like droplet of water in an area of drought. That was the level of introvert she was! However now she was a completely different persona. "Can we know what are you doing, Miss Ishita?" Abhay asked sarcastically. But inside he was clearly annoyed with the fact that Ishita was totally unaffected of his words. As the guy inserted the chip, Ishita murmured a 'thank you' towards him and then walked towards the centre, from where she was visible to everyone in the room. "So ladies and gentlemen, I am really sorry to take a little time of yours, but I promise you all that it would be worth it, because it's about someone's career, someone's dream and someone's life. As we know that the incident took place before two days would have affected our company's reputation to a great extent, if it would have been handled beforehead..." She was cut off by Abhay, who was impatient. "Yes, I handled it well, revealing the traitor - Aahan Choudhry and his crime had been proved. So now he will be fired. So why are we getting another rewind of the whole drama? Is this because you are having a soft corner for him?" Ishita so wanted to punch Abhay at that moment. No, not because the last sentence, because she hadn't even heard that last sentence. Because anger bubbled inside her when Abhay addressed Aahan as a traitor and she went deaf for the last sentences of him. Rudra saw the changes in Ishita. Her tightened fist was showing the inner war inside her. He decided to take charge. "Mr. Abhay Basu, I would appreciate if you won't kept this unprofessionallism again. Everybody has a right to speak. But wait for your turn. And miss Ishita... Please continue and be a little clear. What do you want to say?" Rudra's gaze calmed Ishita down. She composed herself and started again, "So as you all have taken Aahan as the culprit, I would like to ask you all one question, 'Why did he do this?' Is not it the basic question. But no body asked him anything. Nobody waited for his explanation and the result was decided. Why so desperation?" Listening to Ishita, everyone's mouth was shut. Some of them clearly had no idea about who Aahan was and what the matter actually was. They were just sitting in the room to show that they were worried about company's reputation and supported the punishments for Aahan, because that was a golden chance to show their loyalty to their boss. But, now when someone opposed going against the company, they had to think about this again. Because they had to choose a side now. And they only had to know who is right, so that there job wouldn't be at risk. Selfish they are! Then who's selfless in this world! Even Ishita knew this unspoken rule of earth. Selfishness was a little necessary. So she became a little selfish for Aahan, and went out of her comfort zone to prove his innocence. "So, now that you guys really didn't care to hear his side, so I want you to give a thought about it but not now. First see what I have collected and then I would be glad to listen your views regarding Aahan's case." Ishita said and noticed people's affirmatively nodding at her. She looked at an Impatient Abhay and smirked as her plan was now on. To be continued...
