CHAPTER:- 29

Aditi's Pov Sometimes we ignored the potential of some characters, and I was that ignored character, who can change the whole story. I saw Ishita being a queen here. The way she walked in this room, while explaining the scenarios was attracting a lot of attention on her and one of them belonged to her father - Mr. Rudra Verma, who also happened to my beloved uncle. His eyes always held admiration for his daughter. Unknown to her, he always surrounded a protective layer around her. Indeed he called her his princess. Trust me when I said it, Rudra Verma loved his daughter more than anything and anyone in this world. Whie, I was seven, when my father and mother got separated. Not that I regretted their separation, because all those seven years of my life I had only witnessed their argument, which sometimes turned out to be so violent. My own father didn't flinch before slapping me for a burden to him and my own mother blamed me for all the ill-happenings in her life. I was physically and verbally abused by my own parents. So I didn't mourn when I got the news of my father's death. Yes, I was unhappy over the cause of his death. It should be something worse than a simple plane crash... It could have been something more painful like a deadly disease or some extreme level of torture before death. But, I didn't loose hope. So what, my father became lucky, my mother suffered for every bit of her wrong doings. She had a rare skin disease. I saw how her new husband abandoned her and she died slowly and peacefully. I was ten at that time, but what I didn't have was the innocence that every child should have. Then I realised that after my mother's death, I was an orphan. And I really had no one. Not that she took care of me, but yeah, at least she did give me food to eat and a shelter to stay. But that was snatched from me after her death. But, that was not the end of my story. At that time, I discovered the fact that my mother had a elder brother, who was a billionaire at that time. The problem was, I stayed in Canada and he was in India. All a ten year old me could do was tried to contact him by any means and I did by a phone call. Call it my luck or whatever, but I was fortuned. The next week, Uncle Rudra came to me and we flew to India. All these were a dream to me. Uncle Rudra was too loving towards me. He treated me way too better than others. He had his own son, who was small than me and a wife, but still he loved me a little more. Because I was the last sign of his dead sister. Then Ishita came to home during her holiday and everything changed. I saw that I was just treated in a better way, but she got everything in best. She never had to ask for anything in advance. She got everything prepared for her in a silver plate. She acted ignorant to all the luxuries, yet they were forced upon her. Even Uncle Rudra had a different glint in his eyes, whenever he talked about her. She was his priceless possession. And I hated her from that day. She snatched my place. She was the topper, who got the best school, college and even university. She had a career to be proud of and innocence to admire. So I made sure to be what she couldn't be ever. I did my best to shape my body, groom my look and I didn't fail. But that was not enough. Being a model or actress would have struggles on my way. And I had no patience for it. So again I used my trump card. I used my Uncle's name and he agreed for a HR position in his company. People gossiped about nepotism behind me, but in front they became scared of my position. I might not be a topper as Ishita but I was not as dumb as she, when it came to the game of life. That girl clearly got everything near her hand, but she chose to run for them. Height of foolishness! She struggled from the foot to reach to the height in her own father's company. While I grabbed the same position with some emotional blackmail in front of my uncle. But, No. That girl still troubled me. She just joined the company for two years and there was not a single day, when people stopped talking about her. She is such a talent! Obviously have you seen how focused she is! Definitely it's not an easy task to climb each step of success at such a rate. Yeah, Hardwork and dedication! She has all the qualities of success! Such a brilliant person! Everyday people sang her praises. Why won't they? She managed to do wonders with each new projects and that too in everyday bases. And people swoon over her steps of success. I tried every way to suppress her under me. No matter what, I was not going to let her take over the whole company. And, she let me did whatever I want. Not for once she opposed me for the right that she deserved to have. And I took enough advantage out of it. The father daughter duo had enough unsolved problems between them, and I was in the middle, getting benefits of the growing tension between them. But, now things had changed. Yesterday night, Ishita had called her father. I was with Uncle Rudra at that time in his study. We were discussing about the current problem of company. There was an employee named Aahan who was blamed for it. I was pursuing Uncle Rudra to rusticate that person. Because I had witnessed how Ishita barged inside the conference room in his defense. And as per my plan, Uncle Rudra was almost agreed. But, Ishita had to interrupt. I secretly cut her calls, as Uncle was busy in examining about that data leak fiasco. And then she stopped calling. I secretly came out and asked a new maid not to disturb us with any call. As per my prediction, Ishita again called, this time through land-line. The maid declined her, but she was adamant. And to her luck, Ayush picked up the call. That brat loved her so much, while she didn't even glance at him with a bit of emotion in her eyes. They talked and he called Uncle Rudra. I saw everything. How Uncle manipulated her to come back to the mansion and she agreed too, without any denial. Everything fell out of my hand, yet the game was not over. Because now I knew the trump card, that could change the game in an instant. And my trump card was Aahan Choudhry. To be continued...
