Ishita walked inside, carrying her attitude on peak of her nose. She knew her father better. His mind was like a book, that no one could read. And Ishita was desperate to know what he was thinking at that moment.
She was about to enter in her cabin, when a hand stopped her. She looked at the hand holding the doorknob and the glared at that person.
"Leave." She yelled in anger.
"Oh! I am afraid." Abhay faked to be scared and then chuckled. "So, Ms. youngest HR has suddenly got overprotective for a certain employee. Is there anything more to the matter?"
"That's none of your concern. You should think about yourself. Why are you so keen on destroying Aahan's career?" Ishita directly asked, folding her hands in front of her chest.
"Look, Ishita. I really don't want to explain you that. It is not the first time and Aahan is not the first one. I have framed a lot of employees earlier, who stood upon my path as a barrier. And simply like everytime, Aahan will be fired too. So choose your side thoughtfully." He said carrying a smirk on his face.
"Trust me, Mr. Basu, you would have never faced me before. Aahan is one of my team members and to protect his career, I will go to any extent. When I said any extent, I meant it. Now move." Ishita said, maintaing a calm postuer through out their whole conversation. But her this aura was enough to frighten Abhay. His grip on the door knob loosened and Ishita pushed the door a little and entered inside, leaving a flabbergasted Abhay behind.
Ishita sat on her chair and looked out of the window. The calm breeze was not enough for her today. She was literally panicking about thinking about what was going to happen next. Calming herself down, she took a normal breath.
Taking some files in her hand for formality, she again opened the door and sighed in relief not finding Abhay anywhere near. Marching her steps, she moved towards the MD's cabin.
People around the office were shocked seeing the sudden change inside her. The dominating attitude of her was enough for anyone to put any question infront of her.
Nevertheless the least she was caring about at that moment was what people were thinking about her.
She was angered to no extent. All she needed at that moment was a solution, and that too one, which will permanently solve Aahan's problem.
She entered the main office, when her eyes fell on to Aahan, who was sitting there as a traveller, who had lost his way.
A smile broke into her lips, seeing him after a day, but soon it was turned into pain as she watched the pain his eyes were trying to hide.
Such strange connection of emotions!
"Good morning, Aahan." She wished, while going near him.
"Oh, Good morning." Aahan wished her back, coming out of his day dreaming.
"You are waiting for someone?" Ishita asked.
"Yeah. Waiting to hear their announcement. Whether they will bless me with a firing or grant me some mercy to write my own resignation letter." He muttered in a defeated voice.
It pained to see his smile lost somewhere. Ishita realised at that moment, how much she was missing a cheerful Aahan annoying her for no particular reason. She needed that carefree side of him back and she will made sure that he will again become like this.
Holding his wrist in a tight grip, she went towards the MD's room. "Ishita! Wait... Wait... That's not a place to enter without permission. Come on, I have already lost my job. At least, you don't repeat the same thing. Please." Aahan almost pleaded her, but she was not in a state to listen anything from anyone. She was about to pull the door open, but Aahan pulled her back. She turned around to glare him, when he said, "Let's enter at least after asking his permission, please." Je requested and she melted there.
Folding her hands in front of her chest, she stood behind Aahan. While Aahan knocked on the door.
"Come later. I am busy." Both of them heard from inside.
"Got the permission?" Ishita asked sarcastically, before pushing the door open. Aahan looked at her audacity with an open mouth.
Ishita closed his mouth and dragged him inside.
Inside Rudra watched each and every actions of his daughter in amusement.
"Sorry, Sir. We just came here by mistake. We are sorry." Aahan immediately apologized and dragged Ishita to go outside, who didn't move an inch.
"It's okay. Please, have a seat now." Rudra calmly offered them to sit and this was another shock for Aahan. He felt like a goat who was going to be dead and before death he was just being treated well.
"We are not here to sit and entertain you with our pleading, Sir. You know why we are here." Ishita firmly replied. "Aahan is framed. He didn't manipulate the company's data."
"And this won't be true only because you are saying it. We need to collect proof." Rudra Verma replied in a professional voice.
"Sir! I don't have any proof of my innocence. You can take any decision. But I request you to not taint my career, please." Aahan pleaded helplessly. He was tired of begging for mercy, but he had no other ways too.
"This is my company, Mr. Aahan Choudhry. And it's very much important for me to find the real traitor. So there will be a proper investigation, which have started from yesterday only. Until my team is not reporting me for the same, we can't take any decision. You might not have interest to fight for yourself, but there are people... I mean the company for you. Because when I said that my employees are my family, I meant it." Rudra replied.
For the first time, Aahan felt like he was wanted in that office. He felt blessed.
He just nodded and moved out, waiting for the proper investigation to carry on.
While Ishita stood there, keenly observing her father's each and every actions. She was confused seeing him smiling, at the same time she was worried for Aahan too.
