"You are a cheater." "You, double faced man dared to cheat us and thought you will get a way with it?" "Bastard! Even your own parents couldn't trust you and left the earth earlier. What sort of expectations we should have from you?" "You manipulated the company's new project's important and data." "That's happen only when you decided to give job to these inexperienced people who had no idea about loyalties." "He has completed his schooling from a good school. Only if his parents and teachers would have put some good value and morals in him." "He is not trustworthy, after what he did with the company's data." "He betrayed the whole team, who had worked hard for the project of STYLE." "It's a police case." "We will sue you for that. But now you are fired." "Come tomorrow and we will hear your side too. Then with your resignation letter, you will be fired. Trust me, this act of yours will cost your whole carrier." "You will pay for playing with my company's reputation." Aahan pressed his ears to stop the sounds and all those blames hitting his ears . They were straight to hit in his mind, They were ear piercing. Nor that his eyes were helping him. He was getting the same visual scene, where Mr. Basu screamed his name and dragged him forcefully to the conference room. He was humiliated there for a crime he had never committed and was unknown of it. Cheating the company was something out of his thinking capacity. He was so happy with his job. The salary was enough for a bachelor to live smoothly and also he could save the money. Why would he destroy the so peaceful life of him. And they were blaming him for leaking company's data to their rival. He never even researched about the company's competitior, forget about the rival. He was not interested in business. He just did what he was assigned to do. He made the designs for the project and mailed them to Ishita, as she was his team leader. There his job ended. Now that the same designs were leaked to other company, how would he know about it? He learnt about this fiasco from Abhay only, when he dragged him to the conference room, which was full of higher officials. He recognized the HR persons and the MD sitting on the head chair. And he was the centre of attention there. No, he might be a social bug, but there look was troubling him. He looked around in a hope to find Ishita among those HRs. But she was not there. Why would she? She doesn't like to be a part of anything that doesn't concern with her work. And the next moment, Aahan remembered, Mr. Basu putting blames after blames on him. And he had nothing to say. He felt as if he was declared as the guilty here, even before he would have put his side of story. So he didn't say anything and accepted whatever they had to say. The only sane person there was Mr. Rudra Verma, who had a bit of humanity left. He gave Aahan a day of time to prove his innocence. Otherwise he would be fired. His career would be completely destroyed in an office conspiracy. Putting both his palm in front of his face, he tried to hide those tears, that were all ready to fall. "No. No. He can't cry. He is a man after all." At that moment also, his male ego was intact. "But no body is here. The staircase is almost empty." He thought looking around. Finding no body there he sighed. And slowly his tears got the freedom of falling down on his cheek. Still he was palming his mouth to press his voice. Unknown to him, a pair of eyes were teary seeing his tears. Those eyes held worry and care for him. And they belonged to none other than Ishita Verma. Standing behind the pillar, Ishita observed Aahan carefully. It had been a month, he had become a part of her life. She had that habit of waking up to his good morning text and sleeping with the massages to have a good night. No, Aahan was not hitting on her particularly. Being a girl, she never got that vibe from him. But, yeah he genuinely considered her as a friend and this was a rare case for Ishita. Whenever Aahan talked with her, he never demanded any favour. His talks started from teasing her and ended with making her smile. It was not only her, Ishita had noticed his jovial nature with almost everyone in the office. With in a short span of time, he had managed to win people's heart with his behavior and making laugh skills. And about her, No... No... She has no feelings for Aahan. At least that what she claimed to herself. Then heart had its own rule to think, accept and claim. Ishita wiped her tears, seeing Aahan a little better. She wanted to go near him. She wanted to console him. Will that be right? But being an introvert it was hard for Ishita how to comfort him seeing him in this way. All that happening to her was breaking down with the same way as Aahan was seen broken down. Of course, He had prepared coffee for her, when she was worried about a project. He made sure she take her lunch on time everyday. He bought her candy floss, just because he lov... No... No... Not that four lettered stupid word. There was nothing such going in between her and Aahan. Again her mind interrupted. Ishita finally decided to ignore everything. Aahan was beside her in every even and odd. In this one month, he had become her one and only best friend. Now it was her duty to act as a good friend and support him in this situation. To support him mentally and make sure he is not completed affected and mentally devastated with this. And she was going to do exactly that. No matter whoever with what ever was standing in front of him. She will fight for him - her Aahan. Ishita moved towards Aahan, who was now sobbing lightly. Listening to her heel sound, he wiped out his tears harshly. He definitely was a social person, but at that moment he hated to be confronted by anyone. May be he preferred loneliness. He wanted to stay away from the noise. He was tired. He needed some time alone with himself. Because he knew that with which emotion people will come near him. Either with accused eyes or sympathetic expression. And as of now, none of them can heal him. One would cause more wound, and another one would not be able to fill the wounds with stitches. It was him alone to console himself, to calm down the mind and to heal down the heart with silence. He was familiar to these when he was a child. He was aware of both these expressions from his childhood. When his parents died, he got to witness that accused eyes of his relatives, who were glaring at him. He got the looks as if he was the bad luck to his parents. More than consoling a little boy, everybody seemed to curse him. Being alive with out his parents was his fault may be. And some were giving him sympathetic expression, but they never came in front to help them but with hidden benefits from a little boy. And thus he hated sympathy more than anything. Why these crocodile tears, when you had no business with the victim? He turned his face towards other side as the footsteps of the intruder came closer. "Aahan!" Ishita lovingly called. Aahan looked up to match her eyes. They were hazel, yet beautiful. Like the space, that was void, carrying millions of twinkle in them. There was no sympathy to his surprise. He was always surprised knowing that such a girl do exist in this earth. In this one month, he had came to know about a lot of things about her. Apart from being an introvert and socially awkward, she did have a kind heart, full of innocence. But there was a void in his innocent eyes and as he mentioned earlier, he had witnessed the rare twinkle in her eyes sometimes. He always made little efforts. From asking her for lunch, buying her candy floss, he tried to make her happy. Because her curved lips makes his path beautiful and her twinkled eyes ease away his darkness. Then now Aahan was confirmed that she was unique. She had come to meet him, despite of knowing about Mr. Basu's conspiracy. Well, that man screamed danger. Aahan ignored his evilness and now he was praying the price for it. Only if he would have understood those ways of conspiracy, he would have never landed in this mess at the first place. Nevertheless, now what's done is done! Neither he has an undo or restart button to go back in time. Then others have their career safe. They were aware of their MD, Mr. Rudra Verma firing Aahan. This they didn't even console him, not wanting to come in MD's bad books. But Ishita was here, infront of him. No he had to send her back. So what if his job was gone, he won't make her jobless too. "Ishita! You here?" He asked. Ishita hummed, while taking a seat beside him. He looked at her casualness, she was not going to remind about his fault. Is she aware about his crime? Crime that he had never committed but got punished. No he had to tell her. She can't sit here destroying her own self. "Ishita! I am fired because of manipulating company's data. I don't think if anybody will look you with me now. That will affect your career." He said to her, while she kept looking at him in different emotions. "Your honesty is something I have always admired, Aahan. No body has the right to snatch this job from you for some false accusations. You have earned the job with your hard work. Now fight to save it. It's yours and nobody can change that fact, not even the managing director himself." She stated in a promising voice. The words gave Aahan some courage to his mind that was losing. It boosted his inner self, and wake him up. The words replayed in Aahan's mind. She trusted him. She was supporting him. In this hard time she is standing with him and giving courage to fight for own rights. All these made Aahan little bit better and a thin smile broke into his lips. Ishita sighed in relief. The smile in Aahan's face consoled her silently too. That's what she wanted to see - his smile, which was missing for that day. "It was not all about being fired from job for the crime you committed or not, that's another thing, but it's all about how you take a stand for yourself against others. And when your honesty is with you, then that must be your power, not a key to lose things which you earned with all this hardwork. As long as you know you are not wrong then that must give you the courage to fight for yourself. You can not lose your confidence and accept what everybody said, but you need to bring out what nobody said. And I know you very well, and you can not do such things and lose your job. I believe you will get through it. " Ishita continued to give courage through her words to Aahan. With each words of Ishita, Aahan was only looking empty, he only nodded his head. His expression was changing. His face seemed to regain the shine he was losing few minutes back. He looked promising. He took out a kerchief from his pocket and wipe out his face completely. He took a deep breath, and looked at Ishita in a innocent look, and smiled. Ishita could now realize her words has started to heal him. She was happy for him. She was happy for the fact that being an introvert since the childhood, she is able to stand with Aahan and give him some strength. To be continued...
