KENNEDY The talk that I was expecting didn't happen the next morning. I woke up with an empty bed. I was hoping that Asmodeus was waiting for me in the dining room, but when I went down, Coral said that Asmodeus had already left early in the morning. I felt a pang of disappointment in my chest as I sat down at the table, staring down at my plate of untouched breakfast. Asmodeus had left without saying goodbye, without even a note or a message.
