AFTER saying my goodbyes to Mona and Mr. Blackwood, I couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt that lingered within me. As I walked out of the restaurant, I couldn't help but wonder how Asmodeus was doing. Was he still upset with me? Did he even care about my career success?
I hailed a cab and sat in silence, staring out of the window as the city lights blurred past me. My thoughts were consumed by the argument with Asmodeus and how it had been affecting my life lately. As much as I was thrilled about the success in my career, it felt incomplete without Asmodeus by my side.
