THE STORY OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD SAW FROM BIRTH TO DEATH. The following is a story of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, which I quoted from a book about a collection of Islamic stories, namely the story of the Prophet Muhammad from birth to death. In the book tells various stories of the prophet, one of them is the story of the prophet Muhammad, then there is the story of the prophet Ibrahim as. I hope that all readers can take the essence and meaning of this story. And apologize if there are shortcomings in the writing of words and sentences. At a time when mankind was in darkness and an atmosphere of ignorance, a baby was born on the 12th of Rabiul Awal in the year of the Elephant in Makkah. The baby that is born will bring great changes to the history of human civilization. The baby's father was named Abdullah bin Abdul Mutallib who died before he was born when he was 7 months in the mother's womb. His mother was named Aminah bint Wahab. The baby's presence was greeted with love and taken to the Kaaba, then given the name Muhammad, a name that had never existed before.
After that Muhammad was breastfed for several days by Thuwaiba, Abu Lahab's servant while waiting for the arrival of a woman from Banu Sa'ad. The custom of breastfeeding has become a habit for the Arab nobles in Makkah. Finally came a woman from Banu Sa'ad named Halimah bin Abi-Dhuaib who at first did not want to accept him because Muhammad was an orphan. However, Halimah also brought Muhammad home to the interior in the hope that God would bless her family. Since he took Muhammad as a suckling child, the number of goats and the milk of the goats has increased. He had lived for 2 years in the Sahara and after that Halimah took him back to Aminah and brought him back to the interior.
At the age of two, he was visited by two angels who appeared as men dressed in white. They were responsible for dissecting Muhammad. At that time, Halimah and her husband were not aware of the incident. Only their children of the same age witnessed the arrival of the two angels and then told Halimah. Halimah then checked on Muhammad's condition, but no strange effects were found. Muhammad lived in the interior with Halimah's family for five years. During that time, he received love, freedom of soul and good care from Halimah and her family. After that he was taken back to his grandfather Abdul Mutallib in Makkah.
His grandfather, Abdul Mutallib loved him very much. When Aminah took her son to Madinah to meet his relatives, they were accompanied by Umm Aiman, a female servant left behind by her father. He was shown the place of Abdullah's death and the place where he was buried. After a month they were in Medina, Aminah was preparing to return to Makkah. He and his entourage returned to Makkah on two camels that had indeed been brought from Makkah when they first came. However, when they arrived in Abwa, his mother also fell ill and eventually died and was buried there as well. Muhammad was taken back to Makkah by Umm Aiman with a very sad feeling. So Muhammad became an orphan. He stayed with his beloved grandfathers and uncles. "Did He not find you an orphan, then He protected you. And He found you a confused person and He gave guidance" (Surah Ad-Dhuha) , 93: 6-7)
His happiness with his grandfather did not last long. When he was eight years old, his grandfather died. The death of Abdul Mutallib was a great loss for the Bani Hashim. He had fortitude, authority, insight, respect and influence among the Arabs. He always provided food and drink to the pilgrims and helped the people of Makkah who were in distress.
After the death of his grandfather, Abu Talib took over his father's duties to take care of his nephew Muhammad. Although Abu Talib was less capable than his other brothers, he had the most subtle and honorable feelings among the people of Quraish. Abu Talib loved Muhammad as he loved his own children. He was also attracted to Muhammad's noble character. One day, when they were visiting Syria to trade when Muhammad was 12 years old, they met a Christian monk who had been able to see the signs of prophethood in him. Then the monk advised Abu Talib not to go far to the district of Syria for fear that the Jews would hurt him if the sign was known. Abu Talib followed the advice of the monk and he did not bring much property from the trip. She returned immediately to Makkah and took care of her many children. Muhammad has also become part of his family. He followed them to nearby towns and listened to poems by famous poets and speeches by the anti-Arab Jewish population.
He was also given the task of herding goats. He tended the goats of his family and the goats of the people of Makkah. He always thought and reflected on natural events while carrying out his duties. Therefore he is far from all human thoughts and worldly human desires. He was spared from vain deeds, in accordance with the title given to him which is "Al-Amin".
