    Mike glowed inside, reflecting on the fun-filled day with Katie and Adam. He was smitten. They had so much in common. In his mind’s eye he could envisage a life with Katie. “Com’n Bella. Hop up, girl.” He opened the passenger door of his truck for his sidekick to jump in. All his gear squared away, he slipped behind the steering wheel, keyed the engine, shifted into reverse and backed up.
