For the next three days, Iris waited for news from Archer. However, the man seemed to have disappeared off the face of the earth. He didn’t contact her, nor did he come to see her.
“Did he change his mind and want to cancel the deal unilaterally?” Iris muttered as she paced back and forth in her office.
“Our deal is not legally binding. He can change his mind anytime.” She shook her head.
“No. I can’t just sit idly by. What should I do?”
Iris tried to think of a solution. At that moment, Mia suddenly entered the room without knocking. Her expression looked very enthusiastic.
“I found them! Quick, come with me!” she exclaimed, pulling Iris to her feet.
“Wait, what? Who do you mean? The people who started the rumor?”
Mia nodded quickly. Iris’s eyes immediately lit up. “Let’s go!”
