“Why is this so sweet?” Archer asked with a teasing smile. His voice was so warm it even slipped into Iris’s dreams. “Damn you,” Iris muttered under her breath. At the crack of dawn, she shot out of bed, dressed at lightning speed, and dragged her suitcase straight into the living room. Meanwhile, Archer had just woken up and was on his way to make coffee. His brows lifted the moment he saw Iris already fully dressed and ready for work. That wasn’t like her at all. “All my things are here. Take them to the car and pick me up tonight,” Iris said quickly. “You’re not eating breakfast?” Archer asked. “No, I’m in a rush.” And with that, Iris rushed out the door.
