“We are here,” Lola announces to Jaime as she stops walking so did he. He looks at the disgusting alley they are in but he is not surprised at the state of the place because he used to stay in these alleys when he is running from Mother. The smell of industrial smoke, trash bins at the corner, the sound of busted pipes and the buzzing of insects. “You can’t be serious.” Jaime stares at his Yeezy’s which is already covered with some slimy substance. “Shit.” He mutters under his breath as he lifts his legs. He just bought the pair last week.  “We have to do this fast, hit me.” Lola calls on him getting ready for the pain but Jaime just stands, looking at her and from that she knows what he is thinking.” You promised to help.” She yelled, anger boiling in her veins.  Lola knew it would be hard convincing Jaime about her plan but she thought they had come to an agreement and his resistance shows otherwise. This is her chance and he is ruining it. “I knew I should have asked for Ivan’s help.” Ivan was always an option but not the best one plus Jaime is always her first option. “Ivan will f**k you up considering that fact you broke his finger during training last week.” Jaime lets out a low laugh but Lola is not finding the s**t he is doing funny. “At least he would have gotten the job done.”  She is running out of time, she needs to this today with or without Jaime’s help but hopefully with his help. “I can get the job done but not like this. I will put a bullet in that Fort guy’s head and then I put a bullet in his father’s head.” Jaime will rather do this than having Lola risk her life for her bizarre plans.  “I did not train for 5 years of my life just to put a bullet in my enemies head, I am going to get revenge and justice for my parents. “ Lola walks up to Jaime and stops as they are inches close to each other.  Lola had been watching Fort for a very long time now, she knows his routine, the early morning jog at 6:30, coffee at 7, and then he is back to his luxurious apartment by 7:10, gets ready and leaves for work at 8. She knows what she needs to prepare herself for her mission and with Mother’s go ahead, she will take the Reid’s down.  “I don’t want to do this,” Jaime whispers, trying to reason with her. His heart beating, his nostrils filled with her intoxicating scent, he would rather have them cuddling this morning in a bed than out here hurting each other.  “I am going to be fine.” Lola places her lips on his, her arms over his neck and her feet stretched to get to his height. “I promise.” She mutters on his lips before letting him go. “Now hit me.” She smiles letting him know it is okay. Jaime closes his eyes for a second trying to summon the courage to go the needful. It takes all he had in him to send his leg flying to her stomach.  Lola's legs give up as she falls on the floor at impact, she doesn’t remember the last time that she got her ass handed to her.   It hurts like a b***h. “Are you okay?” Jamie asks, trying to help her up but Lola waves him off, standing on her feet without any help.  This is hurting Jaime more than it’s hurting her, he just hopes it’s worth it and she finally gets peace when this is over.  “You hit like a little girl.” Lola lets out a painful laugh as she clenches the place of impact. “Now my face,” Lola calls out to him. “Hit my face.”  “This is bullshit.” Jaime shakes his head, swinging his fist on her face. Lola smirked when she saw the sight of blood dripping from her nose to her white worn-out shirt.  “More,” She laughed, Jaime thinks she is crazy but he follows her orders.    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  “It’s enough,” Jaime announces a Lola falls on the dirty floor, coughing out blood. He hates that she made him do this and he hates himself for doing this.  “Yeah,” Lola tries to maintain as strong font but her bones are crushing, she feels her jaw is broken and her face is probably a mess. “Y-you need to leave, Fort will be here in any minute.” Lola can hardly find her voice.   “I am not leaving you,” Jaime argues. It’s bad that he did this, now she wants him to leave.  “I am going to be fine.”  “Are you sure about this?” “Yes, please go.” She gave him that eye that makes it difficult for him to say no to her.  “Don’t die,” Jaime yells as he jogs out of the alley, he turns to have a look at the crazy girl with a crazy plan. “Shit.” He cusses, noticing someone jogging from the end of the alley. It must be him, her plan might work.  Lola already blurry-eyed could see a faint figure of Fort jogging towards her, excitement is bubbling in her chest knowing that her plan worked. She became lightheaded before he can get to her, she blacks out.  The game as started and there’s no backing out.    6 YEARS AGO "Hey stutterer," Lola drops her tray on Fort’s table in the cafeteria. This leads to stares from students, who wonder why she is not sitting with Brandon. Hence feeding into their theory of her and Brandon breaking up, All they look for is gossips.  "S- Stutterer?" He raised his perfectly shaped eyebrows at Lola. He only stutters around her, she makes him nervous. Girls like Lola don’t talk to guys like him.   "You stutter a lot, so Principal Cooper assigned me to be your tour guide. I'll show you around the school tomorrow morning, don't be late." Lola picks an apple from his tray putting it on hers before standing up. Fort won’t admit it but his heart broke a little when he realizes that she is just talking to him because Principal Cooper asked her to but he finds consolation in the fact he gets to hang out with her tomorrow.  "O-okay," He said awkwardly. His response confirms Lola's judgment, he is defiantly socially awkward. “What’s up with your finger?” Lola notices the band-aid wrapped around his finger. “Nothing much, but my dad was dramatic enough to take me to the hospital.” Fort gives a low nervous laugh. “Ughh, I hate hospitals.” Lola gives a dramatic eye roll as she stands up.  "Thanks for the apple, Fort." Lola smiles walking as she walks away, moving towards her regular table, with the jocks and the fury queens. ~~~ "Thanks for the ride babe." Lola got down from the car, Brandon’s car. It is kind of a tradition since they started dating, every day of school Brandon comes to pick her up and after cheerleading practice and hid football practice, drop her off.  "Anytime," He calls out as Lola as shuts the door behind her, she takes a few steps back as she waits for him to drive away. She turns to my dad's trailer which after a year of living in, she calls home and starts walking towards it.  Lola and her parents started living in the trailer after losing their house late last year. Her mum got involved in an accident, which lead to them sending a lot of money on hospital bills.  Lola opens the trailer and walks inside to see her mum, Rachel, shivering even though she is cover under layers of blanket. Two days ago, Rachel got down with a cold and has refused her family taking her to the hospital; she said she was going to be fine.  Seeing her mum like this, Lola realizes she is not getting any better. They need to take her to the hospital.  "Mum?" Lola walks towards her, kneeling, placing her hands on her mum. "Mum, you said you were doing alright." She stares at her mum’s pale face. She is not doing well and it scares Lola.  "I'm fine honey." She says that all the time, she's not alright. Lola hates seeing her like this and there's nothing I can do to help. "I'll go get your medicine." Lola stands up but her mum’s hand stops her.  "My drugs finished this morning." Rachel weakly says, she doesn’t want her child to worry, the girl has suffered enough. She is trying to fight this but she feels like she is giving in to whatever that is eating her up inside.  "Your dad, he went to the pharmacy nearby to go get some drugs, could you go check on him? He has been gone for a while." Lola gets why her mum worries about her dad and wants to know where he is at most times. Diego Blanco just dropped the bottle of beer down, and cleaned up his act.  She doesn’t want him to fall back to his previous way of life. Change can be a good thing. "I can't leave you here mum." Lola put her bag on the ground as she arranges her blanket. "Please dear." Rachel pleads. It will make her feel better if her family were together right now  "Fine, I'll go check upon him." Lola gives a smile, holding her hands tight. ~~~~  "Dad," Lola calls out stop her dad as she spots him at the corner of the street. The middle-aged man who already has his hair filled with grey hair still dresses like he does in his teens. A shirt with no buttons fixed so to show off his white singlet, like back in the days, his abs are what he was showing, even if she won’t admit it today, Rachel fell for that style. But now, he is showing off his potbelly and Rachel is still falling for the old man’s style.  "Lola," he calls out as soon as he spots his daughter. He crosses the street walking towards Lola, looking back a couple of times.  “Mum said you went to get some drugs." Lola hugs her dad as he ruffles her hair, making her giggle. He lets go of her, looking back again before putting the paper bag of drugs up. "Yes, let's go baby girl." He smiles, as they both walked at an equal pace.  Lola wants to ask him how he got the money for the drugs given the fact that it’s quite expensive but she decides against it.  "How was school today?" Lola smiles at her dad’s English, he is improving. "Good." She barely answers before his phone starts ringing, he picks it up. "Si, te vere alli." Lola didn’t even need to know what the conversation is all about, she knows she won’t like its outcome.  "Bebe, por que no singues adelante?" Lola raises eyebrows noticing how weird her dad is being.  "Mum won't be happy, let me come with you." Now she doesn’t want to leave him, they are going home together.  "Esta bien, pero primero vamos a caer en un lugar importante." "Sure." Lola nods in acceptance, as she can keep an eye on him.  ~~~ "Quedate auqi, volvere," Diego instructed his daughter as they got to a shipping area, they are in-between two containers. Lola looks at her dad suspiciously but stood still as instructed. “I don’t like this.” She whispers to herself as her dad walks up to some dangerously looking guys near the docks. She hopes her dad isn't getting involved in anything illegal. This is the last thing their family needs right now. Lola brings out her blackberry from her back pocket to keep herself busy, as take her mind off things.  She soon gets distracted by loud noises, raises her head noticing the guys her dad was talking to take to their heel, leaving her dad standing. Lola moves to the end of the container to see what was going on. She hides, peeping only to see her dad with his hands raised.   "Don't move." She hears a foreign voice. She directs her eyes to a police officer getting gown from his vehicle with a gun pointed at her dad. She notices a familiar face sitting at the front seat of the car, watching the scene. It’s Fort.  Lola's feet planted a particular spot, fear crawling up her spine, her heart beating hard, she feels like she can’t do anything. She stood there watching in horror, Diego looks at his terrified daughter’s direction then looks back at the policeman.  "Hands where I can see them," The unknown man yells again, moving closer to Diego cautiously. Diego turns to his daughter again knowing he is going to be locked up, he wants to throw the drugs to her, that will be one less thing he would worry about,  "What are you looking at? I said hands where I can see them." “Dejame tirar a mi hija la bolsa de droga.” Diego says. “What, I said don’t move.” The man panicking since he doesn’t understand what he is saying. Deigo attempts to throw the bag of drugs to Lola who already knows his intention. In a blur, Lola hears the gun go off.  Lola's heart skipped a beat as she freezes, her eyes move from the police officer to her dad who collapses at impact.  "Dad!" She screams, coming out of hiding, running towards her dad.  Everything happening so fast, Lola felt everything was happening fast as she falls on her knees to lift her dad.  Tears dripping from her cheeks when she sees he was shot in his head, his eyes opened but he is staring into nothing. The life as left his eyes but the 17-year-old girl kept on shaking him to wake up.  "Dad, talk to me." She cries out, tapping his cheeks.  This can't be happening.  "Daddy, look at me." She tries lifting him but is too heavy for her.  "Dad, wake up. “She sobs, as lets him go in defeat.
