Carmelo scoured the streets the next day when he went into town. She was there somewhere, he just didn’t know where. Tina Vincenzo had played in his dreams the night before, the woman who stirred something in him when she ran smack into him on the street in broad daylight.
His first impression of her was concern, but once he knew she wasn’t injured, he appreciated the woman. She was full of lush curves and legs that could inspire a man. He’d known his share of women, but none like her with an innocence he knew wasn’t fake and a genuine interest in him.
He thought about asking around to see if anyone knew who she was, but he thought better of it. The small towns where they lived were full of gossips and he wasn’t interested in it getting back to anyone that he was asking
