In the police station, inside one of the police investigation rooms, Lisa sat with a group of police investigators. They had collected all the surveillance footage from inside and outside the mall.
According to the video footage, a man wearing black and glasses walked into the restaurant. He walked straight to the table where the children were enjoying their meals. It appeared he had something that looked like a gun, and he used it to threaten Aria and the triplets discreetly, without alerting other customers.
He forced them to go outside, where he and some of his accomplices, who couldn't be clearly seen by the surveillance camera, attempted to kidnap them. Aria tried to stop them but was shot, before Lisa arrived to chase them away.
From all the evidence gathered, it was clear that the kidnapping had been meticulously planned. There might even be an insider at the restaurant. The kidnappers appeared to be highly trained, but the question remained: who could have paid such a high price to kidnap her children?
Lisa knew that she didn't have many enemies in Northanor who would target her. The police investigation had hit a roadblock due to a lack of sufficient evidence; all the leads had turned into dead ends.
Tears flowed freely from Lisa's eyes. She felt a bitterness in her heart, and the death of her maid Aria made everything worse. Aria was also an orphan whom Lisa had taken in. They had shared similar circumstances and had grown close. It was truly unfortunate that she had to die.
After leaving the police station, Lisa made preparations to bury Aria. Once Aria was laid to rest, she cried bitterly by her grave and vowed to seek revenge.
Then, Lisa composed herself to determine her next move. Perhaps it was time to inform the children's father. It was time for her to stop running from her past and seek out Williams.
She drove her Corolla to the train station. Upon arriving, she parked her car in a safe spot, with no other vehicles around, and hurried to obtain a train ticket.
Soon, Lisa was on a train headed to the city of Oslon, where it all began...
**Becky**, busy washing the dishes, was almost done with the last dish when he heard a knock on his door. Recently, Becky had been in a bad mood due to the recent return of the Alpha. He believed the Alpha was responsible for his friend's disappearance. He despised the Alpha for not standing up for his woman, and he couldn't believe the Alpha's incompetence.
"Who the hell is that?" Becky's voice thundered, sounding quite irritable. A weak voice answered, "It's me." Becky felt like he had been struck by lightning; the voice sounded strikingly familiar.
Despite his large frame, Becky moved surprisingly agilely to reach the door. He was a very tall and fat man, looking intimidating. In no time, the door was opened, and there stood the figure he hadn't seen in six years.
"Lisa!" he shouted and hugged her tightly. They had grown up together and been the best of friends. He was the only one who didn't criticize Lisa, and he was heartbroken when he heard what had transpired between her and the Alpha.
"Lisa, where have you been all this time?" he asked, his voice shaky. But he couldn't discern any emotion from her; it was as if her soul had been pulled from her body.
Becky immediately brought her inside and closed the door. He held her and shook her gently. "Lisa, what's wrong? Tell me what's going on. Where have you been?"
Lisa broke down crying as she hugged Becky tightly. She cried in his arms for a while before she managed to gather herself together. Then she told Becky everything that had happened since she left and also about the triplets and their kidnapping.
Once she was done, Becky felt sorry for her friend. She had been carrying a heavy burden on her own. While that bastard Williams had been enjoying life and neglecting his responsibilities.
"Are you sure seeking Williams will be of any help at all? That bastard might still be pretending," Becky said, clearly displeased with the idea of seeking Williams.
"I don't know, but I have to try, Becky. He is their father, and he has to know," she sobbed.
"Okay, then. I happen to know where his private mansion is. It's not proper to go to the pack," Becky announced.
**Williams** sat in his study room inside his mansion, reading some reports. Carissa walked in; she observed Lisa for a while before asking in an angry tone, "Have you been deliberately avoiding me, Williams?"
Williams sighed before replying, "No, I've just been busy."
"And what about what happened last week?" she sneered, referring to the incident on the night of Williams's return.
"I told you it's not yet time," he said.
"Not yet time?" she sneered again. "But I assume you didn't tell that to your little girlfriend six years ago."
Williams turned to her, a strange glint in his eyes. "Have you been monitoring me?" There was no emotion in his voice, but it was forceful.
Carissa tilted her head upward. "You must be overestimating yourself to think that I'd have time to monitor you. But I'd like to know where you got the information."
The two locked eyes.
Williams stood up and tried to walk out on her, Carissa speedily rushed and kissed him heavily and whispered on his ears "be mine forever,"
