Daniella pov
Three months later
So I'm going to give you a quick recap of what happened over the months that we stayed in America:
First of all,their lifestyles are totally different from our own.They have this fashion trend that everyone follows and they are very razz... I don't really know how to use the right word,but at least we are adapting quite well to this country.
Does jet lag exist?...Obviously!I mean,who wouldn't have it after travelling on a long distance? Talk more of another country. Mine lasted for about three days.
I also forgot to mention that my school is okay,quite classy and I also made a new friend.
But despite the jet lag, I must say that America is better than what I expected

I looked at the number and it was fifteen people that were watching me live... sorry,it's twelve now.I switched off the camera and looked outside the bustling street of the USA.
It was nighttime, so the view was very pretty.The street lamp illuminated the place.
It isn't as bad as I thought except the time zone difference whenever I wanted to call Sofie. I looked outside the window of the bustling city .
"So do you feel excited for the first day of school?" My mom asked,coming inside my room.She doesn't usually knock.
''Excited NO...NERVOUS YES,'' I said, looking at my nail.
Mom looked at me and smiled.
''Why are you smiling''?I asked confusingly.
"You remind me a lot about myself when I was your age''She said with a soft expression.
"Okay?
There's something that has been on my mind for a while now, and I needed to tell her, or should I even...
"Is there anything that you want to tell me... you seem disturbed?"My mom asked me.
"You love me, right?''I asked, trying to get to the root of something.
"Yes, baby... but why the question?''She asked curiously.
My mom seems to be happy, so maybe I will hold on to my question for some other time.
"Nevermind,just wanted to ask how you are faring...are you feeling any jitters?"
"I am fine Daniella,you need to sleep early so that you can go to school on time."
"But mom! this isn't my first day in school.I complained."
"And it would definitely not be your last day,you know the adage that says "Early to bed...
...Early to rise,makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.I said completing her statement.
"You see, I didn't quote that... now off to bed, Daniella." She said gently.
"Good night,but you need to check on Max too."
"Don't worry,Abuela is already on that... just hope she doesn't bring her spatula this time around."she said, laughing.
"Typical grandma."I said, chuckling.
"Good night, Daniella."Mom said, closing the door.
"Good night to you, mom."I said as I lay on my bed.

"You made it in time..." Daniella,Emily said, grinning at me.
Yep,I know her because she leaves at Allan's venue, which is three blocks away from our house.
"Yep''I said.
"Ok...Mirabela!"
"For the TWENTIETH time,my name isn't MIRABELA!"
"But you look like mirabela from encanto."She whinned.
Not wanting to argue with her, which I believed that it would be useless,I went to my locker to bring out my books.
"We have an English period in the next...TEN minutes," Emily said, checking her watch."
"Ok...I said, bringing out my pen from my bag.
"No offence, but you do understand English... right"! She asked,looking at me.
"We have been talking in English for five minutes straight...so yes Emily I understand English."I said dryly.
" I'm sorry,I didn't mean it like that ... I was trying to protect you."
"And why would I need protection, if I may ask."
"Because of THE HOWLERS!"She said dramatically.
"The WHAT NOW"? I asked confusingly.
"The howlers," she said, repeating her statement.

Emily voice was interrupted by the bell, which indicated that it was time for English lessons.

"So, the last time, I wrote something about "The Lady of Shallot. "which was propounded by Lord Alfred in 19...
"Oh, gawd!This is one of the most boring teacher to ever teach me.I yawned as I looked at the time,five minutes to break time.
My stomach rumbled intensively as I tried to stop yawning.I forgot to have lunch this morning, and the teacher isn't helping matter.I wonder how the students really cope here, or am I the only person who really wants to leave the classroom and never come back.
"New student...is my class that boring!"
I looked up to see the teacher looking at me.
To be honest,your classes suck and i rather be in a toilet than be stuck here,listening to your teaching!
"Are you paying any attention."
Oh shoot!I have been imagining that scenario.
"Yes, sir, am listening.I said, looking at the teacher.
"Daniella right...since you were listening,could you answer my question."
Oh gawd! Please save me! I promise to pay attention next time even though he's boring.
The answer to that...I haven't answered the question when the bell rang signifying break period.
Everybody ran out, and I took it as my cue to leave.
The cafeteria
"You weren't paying any attention to the teacher right?Emily asked me.
"His class was so boring.How do you guys cope with him."I asked as I took a bite from my cheese burger.
"Well,you will get used to it."Emily shrugged.By the way...Where's your brother?
"I don't know,he has been busy lately with his school work or maybe his friends.
"So...he's in science," right ?
"Yeah, I nodded my head before sipping my juice."
"So anyways,I know that you have only been in school for a while now,but I think I need give you a gist about this people."Emily said looking around.
"Carry on.."I said.
"I'm serious,everyone here has there own cliques of friends...so let me explain."
''You see this people that are seated at this table that are on blue,she said pointing at them,are the computer wizards...they can hack into the school profile."She whispered the last part.
"That's so cool." I said slowly.
"I know right,there are other people,like the jock who are after fine looking girls but don't worry, you are safe."she said, winking.
"Are you saying that I look ugly."I asked feigning anger.
"No...but your choice of your style has a question mark,no offence!
"Hey!what's wrong with my choice of style."I asked.
"First of all,no one packs their hair in a pig's ponytail anymore."
"But my abuela said that I look cute in them."
"Abuela?What is the meaning of..."
"It means grandma.I said, cutting her off.
"Ok...I see where you get your style from.she said."We have the rule breaker which you really need to avoid...they are bad news."She said whispering to my ears.

I just have to wait and see for now.
"And we also have the student journalist which also includes the club president,problem mystery solvers..."
"Mystery solvers! I asked repeating her statement.
"Yeah...here they solve hidden mysteries and clues and sometimes need the hackers for support."
"So that's all the club that we have and the people we have under it."
"I think I need time to think about it"
"Ok...good for you then."
" One more thing,This boy that is wearing red shirt with glasses is Marcus,she said pointing to him."
"I see, but what's so special about him."
"He's a target for... she didn't finish her statement when I saw a group of girls walking up to him.They were four in number. The one who I think is the leader dumped her food on him, and the rest of her gang just cackled like evil witches like what the heck!
"They are the howlers...that I want you to avoid."
"You mean the bullies."
"Yeah...before she could complete her statement I stood up.
"Where are you going"?
"I really need to use the toilet."
"But I thought that you were hungry."
"I have tiny bladder, I guess."I said going to the other direction to the bathroom.
I lied when I said I was going to the bathroom.What kind of school is this that no one would even defend that boy from those crazy people.
If no one was willing to help,then i will glady do so
I really despise bullies because of how I was bullied when I was younger.
I turned on the water sprinkler and quietly left the exit room.

After school
'You mean the cafeteria was flooded with water."I asked,pretending not to be unaware.
"Yeah,I wished you were there.I have to go now for my sister ballet audition...see you later!"She said and left in a hurry.
