I'm going out Mama. I said bolting out the door.

Make sure you come back early

My mom yelled through the balcony.

I feel lonely most of the times because my papa was currently at work amd me being the only child made it worse.

I'm currently outside the house recieving the evening breeze.I love my neighbourhood Tacabuya which is in Mexico City. Here,I really feel relaxed and more comfortable.And plus the music here is to die for.

"¿Algo para mi señorita?"(Anything for me miss) One of the musicians said smiling at me.

"Por supesto"(Of course ) I said giving him some coins before leaving.

"Gracias"(Thank you)he yelled.

"Con gusto"(with pleasure) I said.

There are a lot of fun places to be in Mexico like the wild life which Daniella and I did some months ago.

Speaking of her,I wonder how she's coping.I really hope they are not giving her tough time because I know her;she tends to act tough but deep down she's a whirlwind of emotional rollercoaster.

Pls don't tell her I said that.

I actually met her in elementary school where some bullies where picking on her.I stood up for her and thats how we became BFF.

I had friends before,but they all left.So it's kinda sad that Daniella is away in another country

My thoughts was interrupted by phone that was ringing. I looked at the caller Id "Pokie bear" that's my boyfriend.

"Hey babe"

"Hi pokie bear"

"How are you doing"

"I'm good"

"I miss you,i just wish there was a way we could see each other"

"Me too pokie bear,but at least they are paying you well over there right"

"Yes babe,but I just wish you are here with me"he said whining through the phone.

"I have school,remember"

"Oh that's true,it is just a year remaining and maybe you can be with me for college"He said grinning.

"Till then pokie bear"

"I have to go,my manager can come in any moment"

"Ok lo..."And the call ended.

That was actually the longest phone call we ever did. I actually met my boyfriend when I was at a concert with one of my friend.

I think that was a year ago.Davis,is actually the sweetest person you ever meet.He's just like the guy any girl will have so I hope this relationship will last because according to Daniella, I kinda suck for love and most of my relationships lasted for three months because there were either to boring,to controlling and the last boy I meet before Davis was a mama's boy.

I kid you not when I say he brought his family members on our first date.

Cross my finger that my current relationship with Davis will last cause our one year anniversary is next month.So maybe celebrating it on a video call won't be bad right.

I strolled once more in the beautiful city of Mexico and also bought tamalas(steamed corn dough that is filled with cheese) and also some orange juice.

I was at home on time.

"Are you going to eat dinner"?

"No thanks"! I have eaten already.

"Sofie...I need to tell you that..."

"...you have a night shift again. It was no suprise".

"Yes,and I'm sorry". My mom said sadly.

"No problem,I guess I have this house to myself with papa..."

"And about that..."

"Let me guess,papa isn't coming back because of some work emergency".

"Sadly yes,but I promise to make it up to you".

"You always say the same thing and end up not doing anything". I said sighing.

"Sofie..."

Bye mom.I said as I went to my room and closed the door.Sometimes,I wished that my parents will make enough time for me but that's okay.

Meow! My cat ginger curled up to me. At least I have a pet that will make me less.bored. I picked up my phone to video call Daniella hopefully she's not sleeping.

Hey bestie,hope I didn't wake you up.

No Sofie I'm still awake. How are you doing.She asked as she sat upright on her bed.

Not fine! I whined

No one is at home right.She said

Exactly! I said and she sighed.

I'm sorry Sofie,I just wished you are here with me.Daniella said.

Me too,anyway is there any juicy topic. I asked changing the topic.

I hope she's not giving you tough time because I am going to whoop her ass. I said seriously. I may be goofy but I'm serious when it comes to the people I care about.

By the way,how is your brother doing.

He's fine and annoying as always.Daniella said with an annoyed expression.

At least you have someone to keep you company.I said and Daniella just looked at me as if I had two horns on my head.

What I asked.

At this point I rather be the only child than to spend time with my brother...she hasn't finished talking when max popped his head.

Hey sofie,how are you.Max said casually.Gosh,he has such a cool vibe.

I'm fine and you.I asked.

Nothing much,just bored seeing this girl.Max said and I laughed.

Max,thank you...you can leave now.Daniella said with a frown.

But I'm not done talking to her.Max said.

I'm gonna report you to Abuela.

I watched as the two of them argued on the phone. It was really funny to watch.

Finally,Daniella said after slamming the door. He doesn't even knock but yet he gets mad when I try the same thing. She fumed,removing her eyeglass.

He's your brother. I said.

Typical brother my foot.Daniella said ranting on the phone.

No,we are not together.Daniella yelled.

I wanted to ask if you guys are...you know what nevermind.

Daniella frowned a little.She hates it when I leave her hanging and that's exactly what I am going to do.

She just exhaled softly and looked at me point blank which seemed like forever.

Fine you win okay I give up.She raised her hands playfully in a surrender.

We talked a bit more before we ended the call. This call really helped my mood. I fed ginger before dozing off cause tommorow is school.

The next day

Water fountain school.

I was sitted in the principal office.Mrs Mendas office to be precise. I didn't know why I was in the office,but I know of thing.It is either I'm brought here for a good or bad reason.

She adjusted her glasses briefly before looking at me "So,I have seen your school report and apparently I have been getting a lot of report from you".

"Re..por..t"! I stuttered.

"Yes! And I must say,keep up with the good work Sofie". She said smiling at me. It was rare seeing her smile so that means I am in her good books.

"I have some other news..."she said.

"What is it I asked..."

So you see our school want to fund a foreign exchange problem and you seems to be the right person.

"A what now..."I asked confusingly.

Our school has rich heritage and culture so it's best if we send our student to their school.

"Okay,but what country..."

I will give you a hint...she said handing me a book.

"What"! I said with wide eyes

I changed into my pj as I sat on the outside balcony. I let the cool breeze touch my skin as I observed the beautiful view.

My mind wandered to the teddy bear he gave me when I was little. My thoughts were interrupted by some call.

Hello. I placed the phone on my ear.

The call was still going with no one trying to end it.It wasn't awkward but still the silence was questionable.

"Thank God you finally came".

"Why"?

"I needed to know if I should eat scrambled eggs and bacon or pancake and juice".

"Uhm the second option sounds kind off better".

"That's what I have been trying to tell her but as usual she doesn't listen because I'm the younger one".Her little sister hannah said.

"Come on what do a eleven years girl know".

"I may not know a lot of things but I know that bacon isn't good for you".

Yeah,but don't come crying to me when you have a major breakout on your face".She said non chalantly

"You need to leave for you school".Emily said with a frown.

"I'm going but don't say I didn't warn ya". Bye Daniella.she said smiling before leaving the house.

"She's so annoying".

"Whatever,Let's start preparing for school...by the way have you informed your mom concerning the trip".Emily asked.

''To be honest,she seems kind off busy nowadays and she has been overworking herself..."

I sighed.The truth is my mom has been kind of busy for the past last week it's either she comes very late or our path doesn't meet but hopefully I will stay all night to wait.

We went to school with the help of Emily driver.Between you and I,I'm so glad that she didn't drive this time around.

School has always been stressful for me because recently we had a joint class and guess who was among them...

She didn't say anything but was rather observing me like a hawk.I didn't know why but her glare sent me a shiver down my spine.

She walked towards me each step making a noise and whispered to my ears'You don't know anything don't you'

I looker at her in confusion

She smiled for a few seconds which later changed to a smirk.

"I guess your mother didn't tell you anything did she".

She clearly knew what she was doing and I didn't like it one bit.She was this close of trying to strike a nerve and I wasn't going to give her the satisfaction.

"I don't know what you are talking about".I said walking out.I didn't want to hear anything anymore but I guess fate had other plans.

"I guess naivity runs in the family that's why you are incomplete".

My blood ran cold as I stopped on my tracks.I turned slowly turned back to look at her stupid smirk.I walked slowly to her.

"What did you say"

I said stupidity runs in your blood is no wonder that...

She didn't complete her statement when my fist meet her mouth.I punched her.

"How dare you say that you don't know anything".I said holding her my hands trembling.

"Did I strike a nerve Daniella".

She said as spat out blood.I guess my punch was so hard but I was so angry to even feel bad or anything.

"Go on do your worst is not as if your dad can magically..."

That's it! She really struck a nerve,my weak point.

I didn't know what happened but I know that I tackled her on the ground.I heard her minions screaming but I was to busy to care. I hit her repeatedly as students continued to gather.I didn't know what happened but I saw a crowd of students and among them was my brother who seems to be angry...I think at me.

"What's is going on here"?

A voice thundered in the hallway. I knew that voice it wasn't the principal but the vice principle.He was a disciplinarian that everyone feared.

I looked at her face and noticed what I have done.Her lips were busted and her face wasn'tin a good condition.It was too late to back out now cause the deed has been done.

"I just wanted to tell her something and she punched me like a psycho".

She said crying to my atmost suprise.She should be given an Oscar award for lying.

"She's lying Mr Herbert".I protested.

"I'm not!even my friends can even testify".She said

"Is true,she was telling her something and the next thing daniella was attacking her".One her minions said.

"You can check the CCTV footage for evidence".She sobbed.

Mr Herbert checked the footage and remained silent for a while. Daniella...it's clearly obvious that you attacked her first.

"But.."

Silence

There was a pin drop silence.

"I don't know what really happened but this is an assault if you would ask me".

Deep down I had a tiny bit of regret but only if he knew what she said to me.

"You clearly attacked her for whatever reason that I don't want to know". I want to see you in my office as soon as the bell is over.He said walking ,paused for a while and said,everyone to your respective classes now.

Most people obviously went to their classes for the fear of the vice principal but only a few were still here and among was my brother.

He came closer to becca to check her face and turned to me.

"What's wrong with you Daniella"?

I opened my mouth in shock as I looked at him.He was supposed to be asking me what happened and now he's doing clearly the opposite.

"Are you kidding me".I asked but his face wasn't someone that was goofing around.

He turned to me again

"I'm so disappointed in you"!He said to me before turning to becca."I'm sorry for what my sister did to you.

"Is no biggie...I.didnt know she was this aggressive,she really needs to go.for a therapy".

Max didnt say anything as he took a short glance at me before helping becca who was obviously faking it.When my brother wasn't paying attention,she clearly stuck her tongue out and smirked.She was definitely getting away while I seem like the bad guy here.

Next time,don't mess with her.Jessica one of the minions said before using her arm to hit me on the shoulder.

I squatted in the hallway as tears threatened to fall from my eyes.

She purposely trigged me and now I was the bad person.Why didn't I control myself.What If they suspend me let alone...Expel me. The thought alone made me to release some tears.

"Omg Daniella...are you okay". Mia came running to me.

"She started it".I said sniffling.

"I believe you daniella".She said patting my shoulders.

"Here take this".

I looked up to see Zac offering me a handkerchief with concern written over his face.

I cleaned my face as I took the handkerchief.
