Sophia already knew that her father would do anything in his power to get Amelia to take her spot . To her surprise he said something completely different

" all eyes will be on you now Sophia so do your best " Philip said doing just as the Duke instructed him to do…. Although he was angry with Sophia about a few thing but now was not the time to grill her and the duke was so bend on killing him

Sophia was unable to respond for the first couple of seconds as she did not get the reaction she was expecting therefore she did not know how to react but she wondered if the Duke said something to her father to make him act like this " I am going to the kitchen to get warm food" Sophia finally spoke up

" I see, please forgive Amelia and Clare for the things they must have done , you have to understand their point of view and when you're done with the food, go back to your….." Philip had to quickly stop himself ... he was making the mistake of sending Sophia back to her bedroom to be out of sight ….. just do what ever you want " he finally said

" I should understand their point of view? " Sophia said as she wanted to laugh in his face for saying such ridiculous things… why did she really have to be the one to understand everyone's actions towards her and have to forgive them, why couldn't everyone admit to their faults instead and to see that her father has no shame in saying all of these things is disgusting ….. her father was only trying to play nice to avoid Theodore's wrath

" I picked a good man " she thought as Theodore was doing a good job in shielding her so far…. Theodore handed her the opportunity of two days where her family has to play nice to her, they could do nothing in those two days . For when the Duke comes to collect her, should there be anything out of place he will take his anger out on them …..Sophia accepted the illusion of having a family who cared for her in two days , she wanted to see what life would have been had she not been outcasted most of her life. Even if it was all just fake she would enjoy it to the fullest.

It would be really fun to mess with her family while they could do nothing rather than just hold on their anger and smile . A perfect ending to their ill fated relationship… after these two days,she will completely cut all ties with her family, ending on a fake good note rather than arguing .

" excuse me, I'm going to look for Clare and Amelia " Philip said as Sophia watched him leave in amusement

Theodore was right to not let her come stay with him so easily as there was so much fun for her to have at home

" Amelia you must be out of your mind if you're Thinking of digging a hole, Sophia had absolutely no right to order you around so get up "Clare said as she bent down to pull Amelia up from the ground where Amelia was squatting

" mother we only have to play nice for now, father is going to find a way to make me be the one to marry the duke "Amelia said as she shook off her mother's hands and continued to dig.

" Ahhhhhh" she yelled falling to the side when an earth worm popped out of the dirt

" that is why i said you should get up" Clare said as he stepped back because she was also scared of tiny creatures

" this is ridiculous and so gross.. this better be all worth it in the end because I'm not letting her take what's mine "Amelia said as she used a stick to fling the worm in front of her .

" father already has someone he is planning to marry Sophia off to so she can't marry the duke" Amelia added

" really, he never mentioned anything to me" said Clare

" you would not have kept your mouth shut if I did. Amelia , Sophia is going to the kitchen , get someone else to dig the hole" Philip said as he didn't like the sight of Amelia digging a hole like a servant

" you there, finish digging this hole with your hands right away" Amelia said to a passing servant as she was more than happy to let someone do the work

"Did Theodore leave or is he in the kitchen with Sophia, I want to have a word with that girl " Clare said

" you can not have a word with her Clare, tje Duke made it clear that if we mess with her in the two days she is here, he will kill us all… I would not take his words likely and please play nice with her while she is still here " Philip said as he coughed still feeling Theodore's grip around his neck

Clare could not believe Theodore threaten to kill her, she placed her hand on her forehead as he almost stumbled back from shock . Wasn't it enough that Sophia stole Theodore from Amelia, she must have also place a spell on that man ….. maybe she is really cursed .

" I told you that we should have thrown her out a long time ago but no one listened to me….. what do we have to do now father , Theodore must really be wrapped around her finger if he threaten you . Sophia must have cursed him " Amelia said as he was starting to believe that Sophia was cursed more than anything else

Although Philip didn't believe in the rumors about Sophia like his wife and daughter,but he did not understand what was happening he was starting to question if the Duke really did fall in love Sophia at first sight

" I cannot allow Sophia to go live with the duke on her own in two days " Philip said

" she is going to live with the duke in his big mansion !" Amelia exclaimed taken aback by the news.
