Chapter 2(I)

990 Words
Aaron had knitted a slow paced time length across the years, to get his degrees so he had his parents' will met. Yet, his own dreams remained sifted. He held his hard earned certificate in his face. Not a spare of joy oozing out of his face. Numb but satisfied, chill but yearning for more. He held up high an idea of his upcoming aspirations. Throughout his school years, Aaron made himself a loyal friend with whom he could go through thick and thin. A friend he had known for the past three years of his life. This close friend of his was named Loki and they'd built a strong bond through their diverse life experiences. They stood for each other like echoes of help in thin air, always waiting to be heard. They were just as brothers and shared common interests. Aaron was a very casual individual compared to his close friend who was pretty chaotic in his ways–Traits complementing them both like a dazzling sun in a winter cold season and shoved Aaron out of his timid shell An equally yoked bond starting off an encounter in the school yard. Where some of Aaron's classmates lashed out their boredom at Aaron, haunting him with harsh and provocative words– daunting thorns meant to sting. "Keep sniffing those notes, nerdy sheep. Maybe you’ll finally smell how pathetic you are." Aaron was book smart– an ability locked to his feet, setting him apart from his classmates. had some youngster looks compared to his classmates and so that was enough reason on which they could lay stiff. Aaron kept some of his classmates in a constant loop of frustration and so they snatched a chance at annoying the peace out of him as often as they could. Loki knew that look– the hollow stare of a kid who'd been kicked too many times. He'd worn it himself . The yet unknown guy, Loki, on that very day took a stand for Aaron for which he created a fascinating plot twist to take Aaron off his oppressor's hands. A vulnerable position he recognized from a distance– overwhelmed Aaron in the middle of three individuals. Intense stares intensifying the awkwardness for Aaron avoiding those gazes with a stare at the floor. "Sure you feel so useless and insignificant, obligated to pull your s**t on some innocent person to feel alright" said Loki Loki's words went on with laughter from the surrounding students. They laughed, pointing at the oppressor's stunned faces. The oppressors were obviously furious with apparent tightened lips and heavy breaths. "Believe me, you're cooked", the gang leader by the name of Oji replied to Aaron with great assurance in his voice. Staring straight into Aaron's eyes. Oji, surprisingly, dismissed Loki entirely. Loki, from another end, told Aaron to meet him after school— and Aaron did. Whilst heading to their specific homes, learning about each other as they walked. To their greatest surprise, a car stopped by the pavement just beside them. Two men came off the car, out the front doors and carried Aaron straight to the car's rear trunk. With all his might, he tried to struggle in every way through their tough hands, but to no avail Obviously assigned by their gang leader, Oji. With a mere retreat to what happened earlier that day. While they carried Aaron carrying Aaron, Loki was bashed by an instinctive move straight to the driver's seat and started the car as soon as he entered, leaving the aggressors unbelievably shocked, running to catch up their loss. Their attention deflected whilst carrying Aaron, they never noticed. Loki watched the furious brats recede in the rear mirror, utterly unfazed. No last look, no hesitation. Ruthless ways rolled up like sun glasses on a hot summer beach. Aaron lied curled up, heart drumming in the fierce darkness in the rear trunk of the car. Disastrous scenarios flashed through Aaron's mind– bones broken, skin cut wide, darkness swallowing him whole Loki on the other hand parked the car further away from his starting point. Opened the rear trunk and saw his new friend all sweaty and petrified. Loki gave him a hand with a smile on his face. Aaron pressed against the car, trembling. A stranger risked it all for him. something he found profoundly meaningful. With Aaron's new encounter, the future held a scent of a rosy flower bed on a dreamy mountain peak. Something he never knew before. With his eyebrows drawn together and his pressed lips, struggling to find words to express his gratitude to his new encounter which he definitely had a soothing feel about. A fair try for a promising relationship. They left the car with no brush of care and headed to their homes afterwards. "The kind of s**t only seen on TV shows. Oh my !!" [Pause] "Thank you" Aaron carried his day's terror like a wound. Burst through the door, and couldn't help but spill the tea of truth to his grandma. Aaron carefully told the story to his grandma and she was elated about his new encounter and wished to meet him, just as Aaron would have pleased. An issue at school Aaron always kept to himself for he wasn't sure what consequences could arise at speaking it out. A wing of fear definitely bruised and dusted out. Moma prompted Aaron to report his aggressors to the school administration, an issue well backed up by Moma. This eventually freed him from his cycle of worry. Aaron grew closer and closer to his new friend and knew he could rely on him. Loki was intrigued by Aaron's unfamiliarity to the pretty brutal ways of being as he deemed them to be. A sprinkle of harsh words armed at his elite soldier arm. Used to spitting the truth to some faces with no account of who they were nor where they were from.
