The trust between both friends grew off a well watered land. Through fishing trips, stargazing, late night talks, and physical training. Aaron helped Loki with school work while Loki taught Aaron how to swim and climb trees. This helped Aaron build character and confidence, tied up to his new abilities. They shared their fears– Aaron's fear of unfamiliar grounds he might have to get used to in the coming years and Loki's fear of ever having to deal with romantic love. This glowing friendship had echoes from above and beyond. Rumors in high school and set ups in their surroundings whenever the two friends were seen together. Loki was said to have secret love affairs with his closest friend, which didn't help much. The verbal rifle shots didn't suit their pair as much. The attention was most definitely thrown at him. The damage was done– wound ripped open The gap was dug deep between the two friends as time went on. Aaron who wasn't sure what to do of all the rumors and the usually daring Loki who wasn't at ease with the set rumours. His reactions were palpable and feared by those subjected to them. A piercing gaze that robbed the peace from the gossipers. "He sure protects his lover so much 'cause of their bond in bed" A gaze that pierced through his schoolmate's soul, silencing them. Something of a volcanic temper, barely restrained. He was the sword, he was the silence, he was the victory. Tension crackled in the air with the days pulling through. The rumors took on with unprecedented consequences. A flicker of unease stirred in Loki's chest when he set his eyes on his friend, A feeling well sensed by his friend yet. That feeling well supported by the web of lies poured down their throats. Delusions carefully crafted for their misunderstanding and overwhelmed state. Aaron was troubled by this quite new occurrence in his life. His stomach knotted every time he passed Loki in the hall. His friend’s eyes—once warm with laughter—now darted away like Aaron was a ghost. couldn't help but share his gripping worries with his grandmother. [Sitting in his grandma's bedroom on her bed by her side] Aaron:[Biting his lips nervously with furrowed eyebrows] Aaron: Moma, I'm a little lost on the edge. I'm shocked as for the rumours that separate me from my friend. The one I told you about. Moma: l get you right, sweetheart. And sorry it had to get so serious. But as a matter of fact, when something is meant to be, it comes to be voluntarily. Aaron: So am I just supposed to let go of years of friendship for a matter of rumours? He's the closest friend I ever had, Moma. Like with whom I'm going to train again, be it for my defense or for swimming? Moma; [pulling him closer into a hug] For the best I know, we always need to be pleased by our own selves. The only guaranteed relationship. You have to learn to grow a sense of individuality. "I am sovereign in my kingdom" get used to declaring that to yourself and I'm sure it'd help. Aaron: [ Sitting on the bed with his head set forward, eyes wide staring at the floor] "Ohh! Moma" [pause] I am… sovereign in my kingdom (He pursed his lips) I am sovereign… in my kingdom Moma: Stay sure of people being to change but you can't change them for all that. Time flew and the gap was felt. Loki no longer shared his seat at the lunch table with his friend and when their eyes met in the hall, Loki looked away. Aaron went on with his training, with his friend at heart despite the recent issues taking a toll on him. Someday at night, Aaron was walking in the street on the sidewalk and met his friend surrounded by two other masked men. Without any second thought, Aaron ran to help out in this situation that seemed like a threat to his friend. His fingers closed around a wooden stick– the lucky find. He raised the stick with his hand and the c***k against the guy's skull echoed across the street, man down. In a beat of a drum, the next man was a done deal despite the stress of the enemy's huge body coming forward to him. A shock wave well grounded in their core. They'd retaliate but if and only if they got anything close to the ability to react. Loki then shot a gaze at his friend– long, stiff, with his heavy breath. Overwhelmed by what just occurred. "Thank you bud" he whispered The scene twirled up in Loki's mind as days counted down. Confronted with the truth of his undeniable bond with his friend and on the other side of the veil, the incessant rumours about them In his rumbling mind, reasons piled up to catch-up a rich but neglected friendship. It felt like a gun to his skull when thinking about the last incident where he could've been severely harmed if not of his friend. Loki moved to his friend's home a few days later to talk to him. That which reignited their tough bond. But did that not cover an unsaid truth if the rumors couldn't leave Loki undisturbed?
