Emily The first thing I registered was the weight of an arm slung possessively across my waist and the steady heartbeat against my back. My eyes fluttered open, the soft morning light filtering through the curtains. Then, I realized I was wrapped around Lucas. This time it wasn’t induced by alcohol it was a clear, conscious, and deliberate act. What had I been thinking? My mind scrambled for an excuse, a justification, anything to explain what had happened. Was it the lack of s*x for a while now that had caused a blurring of the lines between right and wrong?
