Emily I woke up with a start the next morning, all night I could barely sleep so waking up early wasn’t as difficult as it should be. I took a warm shower, pushing all thoughts away as the water cascaded down my back. It was soothing especially after crying myself to sleep. After getting dressed, I stood at the door, my hand on the handle, ready to step out into the morning. Suddenly, Lucas appeared in front of me, his eyes sleepy but alert with concern. "Where are you going?" he asked, his voice low and questioning. I looked up at him, my teacher's outfit of well ironed blue pants and a white shirt, neat and familiar.
