All the formalities were settled by Lucas and I was set to leave the hospital. But the fear of Jack creeping up on me filled my head and my hands trembled.
Lucas's assistant walked me to the car while Lucas discussed with the doctor.
My lips quivered as I pressed my face on the car window. My neck wasn't sore, neither was it swollen anymore. But the thought of Jack's rough grip around my neck was more than enough to send chills down my spine.
The door opened on the other side and slammed shut as Lucas settled into the car. He didn't say a word to me and just ordered his assistant to start the car.
