I had stepped away from Gary and Samson, seeking privacy. I picked up the call and placed the phone to my ear. " Hello, who is this?"
"Mr. Lucas Black?" A feminine voice came through.
"Speaking." My voice was tight wondering who was calling me.
"I'm calling from St. Jude's Hospital. We have a patient, Emily Scott. She was involved in an accident."
"An accident? How? What happened?" My eyes went wide immediately wondering how Emily got involved in an accident.
The nurse's tone remained professionally detached, "We don't have all the details yet, sir. She is still unconscious but she's been brought in for observation and treatment."
"Please, ensure she has the best care. I'm out of state right now, but I'll be back as soon as I can just do all you can to make sure she is fine,
