Maud's POV
The cops looked around in the ward, he walked to the bathroom door and pushed it open, he looked into it too, but he couldn't find me.
I was glad I didn't make an attempt to hide inside the bathroom, I would have been caught by him.
I didn't really know why they were after me, I didn't know why they wanted to see me, but I was sure that I was in some kind of trouble, my identity might have been revealed
I was familiar with the steps which were being taken in an investigation, and I knew that they would have tried to get my identity, they would have tried to see who I was, but just my name wasn't going to work for that, I wasn't a registered citizen in their country and that was a really big thing to deal with.
