Maud's POV
"I will be expecting you both soon," his dad said as we walked to the door.
I wanted to go back to tell him not to expect us, because I was sure that the next time he would be coming to their house, it will be him alone and I wouldn't be with him.
I didn't know why he had to lie to his dad but I somehow felt guilty to play along with him, that old man didn't deserve to be lied to.
I still couldn't tell the reason for his lie, was it because he desired that position so much?, he already his own company, he was already the CEO of his company, I didn't understand why he wanted his dad's company so much that he had to lie.
