A New Feeling
Maud's POV
I ran to the hallway after being released by the cops, it was also a relief that I didn't do anything to make their claims stand.
I would been questioned and it would have been a different case entirely if I had hurt of shoot any of the cops, my real identity wouldn't even been considered anymore, I would be tagged as a killer, that criminal which they tag me with, would remain with me forever.
I was glad that I didn't make any mistake while I tried to clear my name, I was glad that I did the right thing by going to the captain, he really helped to solve the whole thing.
Even I had forgotten that I was higher in rank than the cops, but I felt like it wouldn't have helped if I had remembered, I had nothing to proof it.
